*bump*

Pumps in our town are runing $1.59, $1.69, and $1.71.

Grumble 01-27-2004 08:56 PM

IAKG is the queen of bumps LOL

We are paying $0.96 a litre here at the moment.
Woolworths run a customer loyalty program that can get you 4 cents a litre off.

Whilst there is a disparity in exchange rates a dollar is a dollar to you where you live.

The Aussie dollar has gained since this thread started and is now
worth 78 cents US or 1.0 USD = 1.28465 AUD
whereas in November 2002 1.0 USD = 1.68598524 AUD

Thanks to PF for his contributions to the calculations

Its good news for me on my trip, my money will buy more

IAKaraokeGirl 01-27-2004 08:57 PM

LOL. Actually, grumble, I'm learning alot about my "heritage" by going through the old threads. :)

Teddy Bear 01-27-2004 09:04 PM

Regular/87 octane averages around $1.70 a gallon. (self-serve)

It varies up or down by maybe 5 cents or so, at different gas stations.

ryder 01-27-2004 09:26 PM

.644 a litre, I think it works about to about $2.45 cdn for a US gallon or $1.75 US a gallon

PantyFanatic 01-28-2004 01:20 AM

About the same as ryder here. (Last night, $1.73)

Quantity Conversion-
Multiply cost per liter by 3.8 to get cost per US Gal.
Divide cost per US Gal. By 3.8 to get price per liter.

(You have to deal with the currency exchange ;) ) lol

celticangel 01-28-2004 04:31 AM

75pence a litre here !

dicksbro 01-28-2004 05:15 AM

$1.61 per gallon last night. Down about four cents from it's recent high.

That's great news Grumble! I was wondering about that.

We're paying about $1.64 per gal. on average....but there is a local quick mart that has it for $1.58 per gal. for some reason. The pumps are usually backed up to the street!

jseal 01-28-2004 10:20 AM

$1.58 per gal. down here.

WildIrish 01-28-2004 10:30 AM

$1.77 a gallon for regular unleaded

kinkyfairy 01-28-2004 10:52 AM

~nikki~

dicksbro 01-28-2004 12:18 PM

There's a local store that has off-brand bean soup for 50 cents a can. Does that gas count?

Sorry, I'll go back to my corner. :D :D

Irish 01-28-2004 12:59 PM

DB---Not if you use "Beano". Irish

IAKaraokeGirl 02-05-2004 06:22 AM

Ours has dropped to $1.49 a gallon for the mid-grade Ethanol blend, which, in Iowa, is always lowest.

Ranger1930 02-05-2004 06:27 AM

cause i drive a new factory pre ordered Colorado. i put high 93 octane in it.. and it costs me abotu 2.30 a gallon but.. this new inline 5 engine is pretty damn good.. 20 gallon tank. lasts me about a week. and i drive to work and around town on it.. so its decent

Tess 02-05-2004 07:42 AM

Been traveling though NC, SC, & GA, and the price seems to range from $1.54 to 1.57 for regular.

rockintime 02-05-2004 01:35 PM

$1.69/gal at the cheapest stations...up $.10 from last week.

fzzy 02-05-2004 09:16 PM

I just filled my tank tonight .... I get the middle one ... not all the way to premium, but not lowest either .... $2.099 was the amount per gallon.

denny 02-05-2004 09:26 PM

'Bout $1.90 for regular. Gotta love the golden state!

BamaKyttn 02-05-2004 10:10 PM

Ford F-350 : I got to drive one of those... a bit weird after my little honda civic... I drove it through three states, I was so afraid I was gonna run off the road!

my car takes about $15 to fill up with midgrade and that lasts me about two weeks (work is only 8 miles away and I get about 350 miles to the gallon... unfortunately I drive two round trips to work a day.....)

naughtyangel 02-05-2004 10:41 PM

right now regular self-serve is hovering around 82.9 cents/litre...sorry don't know the conversion for you Americans :)

Eros 02-05-2004 10:56 PM

Damn...1.63 a gallon for regular (87) unleaded here...$5 don't get you as far as it used to!!!

cowgirltease 02-06-2004 01:44 AM

Dayum!! I guess I better quit bitchin! LOL It's $1.55 here

plbrad 02-06-2004 02:32 AM

F250 89octane 1.65 per gallon @ 9 miles a gallon. Do the math.

musketeer 02-06-2004 04:53 PM

Good god I wish fuel was as cheap as that here in the UK: For regular unleaded at the mo I'm paying 74.9 pence a litre which works out at roughly £3.40UK or $6.28 US a gallon. Daylight robbery or what?

Aqua 02-06-2004 05:11 PM

Last I looked here it was about $1.51/Gal for 87 Octane.

Lilith 02-06-2004 05:14 PM

$1.69 for the cheapest grade

osuche 02-07-2004 12:17 AM

I paid $1.89/gallon today for the 93 octane -- my car will take nothing less, or the fuel injectors get clogged

Oldfart 02-07-2004 08:02 AM

AUD 1.03.9/litre today. That's about $4.65 per imperial gallon,

which is 25% more than an American gallon.

Divide by your shoe size and take away the number you first thought

of and your answer's about USD 3.50 (ish).

IAKaraokeGirl 02-07-2004 07:08 PM

At 10:00 this morning, our mid-grade (cheapest in Iowa) was $1.53 per gallon. At 2:00, on our way back from the Super Walmart and seeing it for $1.39 there ($1.36 if you use their shopping card), I noticed the gas station down the street had (amazingly) dropped *theirs* to $1.39.

sillyme 02-07-2004 07:54 PM

It ranges from $1.55/gal to $1.59/gal in my area for regular unleaded - since that's all I buy its the only one I really pay attention to.

axe31 03-31-2004 04:36 PM

i found this on the AA site about fuel prices the table has local
currency then the uk equivalents

world fuel prices

by the way at the moment i pay 75.9p per liter
the u.s. are about 23.88p per liter

WildIrish 03-31-2004 04:39 PM

Just paid $1.76 per gallon for regular unleaded.

uwish6969 03-31-2004 04:44 PM

$1.61 at the discount places for low octane....1.89 everywhere else

thedog 03-31-2004 05:17 PM

Here in New Hampshire the gas is free, but we pay $1.61 per gallon in taxes.

flutelady 03-31-2004 05:51 PM

Here in sunny California and near the refineries, we're paying as of yesterday $2.17/gallon for unleaded at the "cheap" stations. Un-fucking-believable

Oldfart 03-31-2004 07:40 PM

I just paid AUD1.05.9 per litre for lead replacement petrol.

That's about USD2.90/gallon

Lilith 03-31-2004 07:58 PM

$1.76

Irish 03-31-2004 08:56 PM

This morning,OPEC voted to cut gas production,by 4%. Irish
