Fear of Rejection
 

I don't know what it is about me. I don't recognise "come-on" signals. I feel like a goose when I realise well after the opportune time that I have missed the boat. I am an immature 23 and know little about girls.
Take Robin, for instance. I had seen her around and was pleased to catch up with her in the local pub. She was amost attrctive small woman with a slightly freckled face, blondish hair, sparling eyes and laugh lines. We chatted about all and nothing and I could feel her eyes studying me. I know that I was enduring the usual male senstaions when an attractive women is taking an interest in me. But I didn't want to risk offending her and have her reject any overt proposition.
So when she surprised me when she said, "Why don't we go to bed?"
"But it's only eight o'clock," I stuttered. "I'm not tired yet!"
