Happy Thanksgiving Pixies!

Oldfart 11-24-2011 05:47 PM

I hope all my American friends and fellow Pixies have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Say "Sorry" to the turkey for me.

Aqua 11-24-2011 10:58 PM

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Pixies. I am thankful for each and every one of you.

Lord Snow 11-25-2011 05:59 PM

Well, another Thanksgiving has come and passed. We were lucky this year in that with 12 people in the house there was only one argument. Plus, I got to have my home made apple pie.

PantyFanatic 11-27-2011 02:49 AM

And now the cold turkey on rye sandwiches with mayo and lightly peppered. Almost as good as the first go-round with the bird. :bite:

Lord Snow 11-27-2011 11:27 AM

PF, in my opinion you can keep your mayo and the rye. I will take leftover turkey turned into stroganoff over egg noodles though.

….. And throwing another ostrich on the barbie won't make it Thanksgiving down there either.

Emu, not ostrich PF.

It's the Africans who have ostrich for Thanksgiving.

dicksbro 11-24-2012 06:07 AM

At least it's not a Koala. :rolleyes2

Teddy Bear 11-27-2014 05:40 PM

My daughter and her friends wanted to get together on Thanksgiving but most had family plans. They are getting together instead on Saturday and calling it Unhappy Thanksgiving. I am unhappy I had an allergic reaction last week, I am unhappy when I hear of the riots going on...... You get the idea.....

BIBI 11-27-2014 09:20 PM

Happy Thanksgiving from Canada.....

dicksbro 11-28-2014 02:05 AM

Is everyone full of turkey now? :)

Oldfart 11-28-2014 06:11 AM

Or are they just giving thanks that someone else will do the washing up?

jseal 11-28-2014 04:35 PM

I have only to put the extra chairs into the basement for the last of the telltale signs of the feast to vanish (assuming you resist looking into the fridge). :)

Lilith 11-28-2014 05:51 PM

We traveled. Laundry is all I have left over.

dicksbro 11-26-2015 12:34 AM

Well, you're in luck Lilith ... you've got another chance to cook up some new left overs to have over the next several days! :D

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
2015

Some friends of ours bought a large drop cloth they used as a tablecloth and they and their kids wrote what they thought were their blessings over the last year and they ended up filling up the cloth. Here's hoping your blessings have been as wonderful and numerous as theirs. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

Cold turkey on wheat topped with turnip and cranberry sauce, and a few creamed onions heated up on the side.

Now that's yummy!!!!!

Had a great time yesterday. Went to see Coco. I'd assumed it'd be cute, but when we were in Indiana, looked at the paper and they had a big article on the movie giving it very high praise indeed. It was well-deserved. Beautiful short before the movie (15 min or so) that continued the "Frozen" movie story. Then this marvelous story of a little boy who wanted to play a guitar with his hero. Wonderful for kids and adults.
