Steph

I am here, I got lost recently. that is why. but hey i found my way back to Pixes place. hehehehhe

so Steph ,

did you want to ask me something?

I am glad to hear everyone miss me too :)

Steph 01-12-2004 10:19 AM

I didn't have a question really I just realized you'd been gone for a while. However, I'm planning on a big tofu/rice stirfry tonight. What Chinese vegetable/spice/specialty would you suggest adding?

ChinesePussy 01-12-2004 10:23 AM

Hmm....Yummy Tofu rice

how about add a bit of small shirmp, oyster sauce, seseame oil, soya sauce, a bit of Chinese B.B.Q pork in China(we called it Cha Xiu)
green onion, garlic, and onions.

Steph 01-12-2004 10:43 AM

I'll add everything but the meat. :D I'll have to pick up some seasme oil - so good! SO GOOD!

What about bok choy?

ChinesePussy 01-12-2004 11:01 AM

bok choy

you can add it last just on top of your disk.

you can either steam it or cook like i do

I put a pot with boiling hot water enought to cover the bok choy, add haft tea spoon of of seasme oil and 1 tea spoon of oliva oil into the boiling water. Add 1 tea spoon of salt. Then dump the bok choy into the water, then stire it for less than a min. Rise them off and take out the Bok Choy.

by now the Bok choy would look like very green and shinny and smell great with seasme oil,. Then slice the Bok choy on top of the tofu rice.

other than Bok choy you can choose Chinese brocoli, or some Chinese beans.

I made stir fry veggies with bok choy too...I use sesame oil in it and also 5 spice powder, aside from garlic and ginger.

And I was definitely missing you Chinese Pussy.:D
