After bopping around all day and keep happening across txgrneyes and her tag line that quotes Crash Davis from Bull Durham it got me to thinking again...what an erotic mainstream movie Bull Durham was and how all of us have things we believe in... I imagine there are those that have never seen the likes of Crash Davis and Annie Savoy tangle across the kitchen table or heard Crashes most eloquent speech that made women's hearts flutter and say, "I want you" ... shoo, why can't more men be like that.

It's my contention that there are many men out there like that and that they can be found lurking here at pixies. But I don't want to limit it to just men, I think women need to clear their throats and let men know what they believe too!

Yep.

I believe that telling the truth is the best policy. That being kind to people is very important. I believe in treating every day like it could be your last. I believe that good hard work has its own rewards. I believe that you trust your own instincts and that you put family first -- before anyone else (including yourself). I also believe you can have friends who are close enough that they truly are family.

I believe that you can love more than one person in this life -- often at the same time -- and that those loves make you a stronger better person. I believe that there is always time for that kind of love, and there's nothing stonger or more pure in the world.

I believe in the truth as well. I also believe in not sugar-coating the truth (don't tell me you are having trouble losing weight while eating cheesecake, just say you like cheesecake and you want to eat it). I believe in humor all good things can come. I believe in not taking anything too seriously, for you will eventually be disappointed. I do not believe that love conquers all and all you need is love. (When the basement floods and you have to call the insurance adjuster and things suck, sometimes, "but I love you" doesn't get it done, a mop does.) I believe in the silent majority surprising people who think they know better. I believe in feeling sorry for yourself for only a few days, then it's time to pull it together.
