Hello all,

I am afraid that this is bad news. Pixies-Place can no longer continue in its present form. This is due to several reasons, some personal, but mainly financial.

It seems that maintaining a good quality free adult site is very hard to do nowadays, and due to some neglect of traffic duties over the past 8 months by me, the site is no longer viable.

Surffice to say that I have had a great deal of fun creating Pixies-Place, and then recreating again and again, such that it has grown into the "mega-site" that you all enjoy today. For those that either remember, or are interested, it all started over 4 years ago, so all in all I think it has had a good run.

So I would like to say a big thank you to all that have helped with the site, through contributions of stories, pictures or your own personalities and of course to all those moderators and collaborators which have done so much over the years!

Anyway you all have a bit of time left so swap your email details with all the friends you have made here, and download all your favourite pictures and stories to enjoy in the future.

I am very sorry that Pixies-Place has to go and I know it means so much to so many of you and all I can do is apologise. The live chat room will be running here indefinitely though.

REALLY sorry to hear this Kim........ bit of a "bolt from the Blue", to say the least!!

If the main reason is financial, I for one would be happy to pay a fee to stay here; if the "personal reasons" are more pressing than you've intimated...... well, I'll just add my appreciation of ALL the wonderful people I've met here, and wish you, personally, all the very best!

So many friends I've made, so much I've learned...I'm going to miss Pixies more than I can even begin to express.

Thank you kim for the last four years, it is the family that I will miss, but it really is the family that you have brought together.
I know Sharni has been involved in the very early sites and has followed every time that the site was move and recreated over the years,
Thank you so much for allowing us all to finds eachother and in many cases to find ourselves, I'm sure that the closeness of members will endure, and with that we can find some small grace that the heart of pixies will never die. thank you kim, you will remain the Den Mother to us all.

Sad news, Kim, and thanks for all you've done. Would it be "not the done thing" to draw people's attention to a rather similar site, to which they could switch allegiance after you close?

This is a very sad piece of news Kim. I for one am very saddened by this news. I have been here since May 2001 and will very much miss Pixies. Pixies' had become a daily place to go and get away from the maddening crowd. If a fee would keep her going, I would be one to put forth some monies. All the people here at Pixies will be sadly missed.

Kim, thank you for so many fond memories .I am sorry to see pixies go this has been a wonderful place to have so much fun.

WOW! I guess I sort of wondered if this would ever be the case... I have seen it happen to a few other sites as well and was hoping Pixies would be around. A sad day for me (and a lot of others here I am sure).

Kim, thanks very much for providing a site like this for as long as you were able. This is one of the few places where I have found adult conversation that did not come down to name calling and bashing other people. It truly was (is) a wonderful site with some very great participants and some people that I would not mind having as friends!

I heard from a friend on Yahoo IM this morning that Pixies was closing up. I couldn't believe it and had to run right over and read it for myself.
And now that I have I still can't believe it.

Thank you to all the Pixies I've had the privilege of meeting, talking to, sharing thoughts with, and for being such wonderful people.

Keep in touch with emails or IM's. grrrrrr I am still in denial. Maybe I'll wake up soon & everything will be ok ???......

We CANNOT let this happen...... there must be SOMETHING we can do, surely?? make it a pay site, even..... hell I'm happy to pay $50, $100 a year for this, not a problem at all! AND that's US money, too!

I'm dead serious. There's gotta be some way to keep this site alive. This will change the lives of so many people it's unbelievable. I refuse to believe it's simply going to fall over and die out of the blue like this.

Kim, you have been fantastic to us, and we are all deeply grateful and indebted to you for not only building this fantastic site, but for constantly contributing to it and keeping it going even when things got rough. Thankyou for everything. And sorry to hear about the personal problems you mention - all our hearts and prayers go out to you. If there's anything we can do, name it. It shall be done.

To all the friends I have made here, right around the room, thankyou for being the most honest, caring, funny, intelligent, fun, down-to-earth people I have had the joy to know. Please, let us keep in contact despite this.

It has been a huge honour and delight to be a part of this site for just over a year.... I hope that something can be arranged, some sort of comprimise, and I can continue to have this honour and privelige.

There HAS to be something we can do. I refuse to believe that 16,000 people can just have their lives changed with such dire consequences as simply as this. Can we make it a pay site? Can someone else take over the hosting side of things? Can we shift half of it over to yahoo groups, or MSN, or something like that?

Let's not give up and quit, let's work out something to do!

Having owned a few websites over the last 6 years I know how much time and money it can suck up.
I'd like to thank you for a wodnerful place that's kept 1000's of people entertained and happy for so long. I've made some wonderful friends here who I'll keep in touch with :D

On a more important note I would like to say and EXTRA BIG thank you to you kim for this site as it's here that I met Loulabelle.

Pixies-place may die but the spirit of the Pixies will live on !!!!

I would be willing to chip in as well to help continue this wonderful connecting spot for people.

I hope something can be worked out in the near future to take some of the financial pressure off Kim, but if not....I'll just say

Well thanks for all the messages and offers. As for accepting donations I am unwilling to accept money from anyone towards the running of the site, as then I would feel indebted to them and the site turns from a hobby into a business, which is not what I want.

My idea is for a "mini-Pixies-Place" to remain. The Java chat room will be here indefinitely and so it will remain a chatting "hub". In additon I wish to add a message board again, but there will be no pictures.

In addition, and for those who want to help, if someone were to make a new site (primarily the forums), of a similar quality and ethic to Pixies-Place then I could "push" members towards that forum/site - a sort of affiliation between the two places.

Regardless these forums will be around until the end of the month!

Kim, this has been a wonderful place for me to go and to learn about myself. I am totally grateful to you for providing a place for me to do that.

Many of us are very willing to contribute to keep the site up and going. Many of the members have talents that would enable the site to continue. Is there a possibility for a meeting of somesort where this could be discussed, planned, and possibly set forth? Is there a way that the reigns could be handed to someone else? I for one am willing to do this, as I am sure others are as well.

Please consider this request from a very grateful member.... members.

If I knew of a place that could do hosting, I'd try to help in a transition area. Heck, if I had my own bandwidth I'd set up my own Linux box for public use, but I don't.
