I am trying to find the best anal lube and could use some help picking since there are so many.

I would assume they're all pretty much the same. Might also depend on application, it's my understanding that some are oil based and some are water based. With my lack of experience with it my suggestion would be buy small amounts of various brands/types and see which ones you and your s/o like best.

There is a silicone based lube too, its last a while (so my biguy friend tells me lol) Not sure what the brand is, but if ya do a google search its bound to come up

Try the JO System lubes, they are really good.

Sorry I did not see this post until lately. The water-based is the best to use as it will dissolve and washes off easily, not the same with the oil-based.

One of the best brand is Astroglide (available at Walgreen, CVS,...or any other pharmacy). It comes in a few versions, but my lady's most requested one is Astroglide Gel. Still water soluble but but lasts fairly well and is smooth.
