First thing I would do if I were her is a pregnancy test. I'd never suffered with sore or achy boobs before becoming pregnant and that was the earliest sign of my first pregnancy. I was in agony from around one week after conception.

Not sure what else to suggest, apart from cabbage leaves, but I'd certainly rule out or confirm the possibility of pregnancy by peeing on a stick before going to the doctor
