It was the "E" key on the keyboard.


Yep. My right hand was working away and suddenly it happened. That's when I noticed my finger on my left hand was holding down the "E" and there was "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" all across the screen. No doubt about it, the "E" key made it happen.
