I think anyone has the right to ask; but it's a partner's prerogative to say absolutely not, and both parties can make their decisions from there, which it seems happened with the Gingriches. A bummer for Marianne, but probably better to know she was married to a cheater than not know. Seems to me, Newt has a history of opening his marriage without giving his current spouse a say. That's some egregiously bad behavior right there.

I like how it's the open marriage request that is going to scandalize everyone, not the serial dishonesty and the hypocrisy. Sigh.
