I wonder if the word "almost" was made up by weather forecasters. It has all the characteristics of a good forecast by combining "all" and "most". Although, if they did create it, I'm surprised they didn't combine "some" into the world ... "almostsome." You know, like the chance of rain is almostsome. (no groans, please. )
