Used to be one was not enough, I would have 2-4 per session. But recently one is enough, I blame it on homones. Seems like I've been doing a lot of that recently But my s/o is often able to climax repeatedly sometimes staying hard after the first and being able to go on from there. Occasionally a short 5 minute or so break is all he needs. I like to say he is insatiable. I used to worry that I wasn't satisfying him, but he assures me that I just turn him on so damn much that he just can keep going and going.
So I guess I would have to say that it all depends. Sometimes one is enough, sometimes you just need more
