Something I've been working on ...

My boyfriend and I had been dating for about six months. Well, that’s not exactly true. We’d been dating longer, but we’d been sleeping together for about that long. In fact, we’d been living together for nearly two months. Our relationship was terrific up to this point. We were extremely compatible in just about every way imaginable, every way but sexually. Don’t get me wrong; we had a terrific time in bed. At least I thought we did. I know I did. The problem was that after six months I was still unsure exactly what he liked. Personally, I’m pretty expressive in bed. In any other situation I’m extremely shy, but in the bedroom I’ve never been afraid to tell a man exactly what works for me and what doesn’t. Jason is totally the opposite. He never said yes or no … never moaned or grunted. Not a peep. So after six months of guessing and groping and wondering if anything I was doing was working, I was getting a bit frustrated.

It was about this time that I started getting nosy, asking him questions about his past lovers and all but begging him to tell me his fantasies. It was pointless. Apparently he found this topic even more difficult outside of the bedroom. I knew he liked pornography and that he had an incredible imagination. I just kept thinking if I could get him to open up something would break loose. I had no doubt that his fantasies would blow me away.

It took several weeks of prying but I managed one night, with the help of a little Crown, to get him talking. Jason began telling me about the period just before we started dating. He’d been single for nearly two years, only dating casually. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t care much for casual sex, so it had been a pretty dry two years. To break up the monotony of masturbation, he started going to strip clubs. In the beginning he didn’t go often, just when the “guys” were going. Of course, he had a friend who was really in to that sort of thing so it wasn’t long before he and his buddy were going all the time. In fact, his friend, Kelly, was dating a stripper. Kelly’s girlfriend is the one who first told him about the lingerie modeling. If you know what that is, then you are one step ahead of me. I'd never heard of it.

Here in town, and it’s a small town, there are several lingerie shops that offer the service. According to Jason the way this worked is you, and by that I mean typically a man, would pay anywhere from fifty to a hundred dollars to have a woman strip and dance for you in a private room. It’s sort of like a lap dance that lasts an hour. The difference is that you are allowed to take off your clothes and do “whatever” you’d like as long as you don’t touch the dancer.

After a few weeks of thinking about it, he finally got up the nerve to check one of them out. I can’t begin to tell you how it went, that’s a story he’d have to share. I can tell you that he really enjoyed it. In fact, he said he went several times during the few months before we met. Jason ended his story with, “Of course, I haven’t been back since I started dating you.”

In that moment I knew things were going to change for us. I wasn’t sure at first how to use what I’d learned, but at least it was something. I finally knew something that he really liked. He even admitted that he still fantasized about it.

I wanted to know everything … what happens when you go in, how it starts, how it ends. I was asking questions faster than he could answer them. Unfortunately he started to get uncomfortable again. It was almost as if he thought my asking for details was a way of mocking him. He began to get quiet and share time was over.

I spent the next few days wondering what to do. Further attempts to get him talking about this or anything else sexual had been unsuccessful. He was back to the old Jason.
