Outta the blue?
I know there's been a dozen threads about PM's here at Pixies, and the other types of Messengers we all use. My question is this..... Do you mind when someone gets one of your messenger nicks and PM's you on say Yahoo or MSN? I know we have those spots in our profiles for just that reason, but I've thought about PM'ing a couple people on their respective messengers, but decided it might be a bit forward. Just wondered what everyones opinion is?

Hmmmm? Good question Eros! I specifically didn't include my personal IM's in my profile because one never knows when it's me or hubby on my MSN account......and should he be the one online at the time.....he might or might not appreciate a frisky comment meant for me but received by him! LOL! He's pretty cool......but ya never know what some people will say to get the attention of who they hope is online!
But.......Yahoo is all mine. I've only ever given that to a very few people.......but it's still not in my profile!

My only problem with people contacting me through my IM systems is that their names tend to change a lot (as do mine). If I haven't heard from someone and am not sure who's behind the name, they sometimes get deleted from my list.
I don't think it's forward, though. Some Pixies have intricately fun ways of getting in touch with each other. We chat in the chat room, on the floating chat bar, Yahoo, MSN, PMs, phone, in person . . . we're the most connected community I know!

Unless someone's being an all out ass about something I don't mind at all. I enjoy a good conversation most anytime. If something comes in I don't particularly like I'll find the ignore feature, but I've never had to.

I like having members be able to reach me at any time. I listed my messengers for that very reason! Basically I am PixiesLilith everywhere. However, I do appreciate it when someone says "Hey Lilith, It's me______ from Pixies!"

I don't mind at all. I like meeting new people. That's what the little accept and ignore buttons are for. Only one way to find out!
