Music Videos.....Mmmm!!!
I'm sitting here with the TV on in the background (as I sometimes do!! ) and the channel I'm watching is showing the viewers "Top 50" music videos of all time!
Got me to wondering; what's YOUR favourite musicvid, if any ~ i.e. Artist/song and (if you like!) WHY?!!!!
For me, it would (still) be Queen's video for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' ~ TOTALLY loved the song, and the effects, for the time, were amazing!! Very much "old hat" now, of course..... but still a groundbreaker, as far as I'm concerned!

OK I have a list...cause I was thinking about this as a thread too.
I love the Alice in Wonderland theme in Tom Petty's " Don't Come around Here no More"
and the sick twisted yet sexy video he did for "Mary Jane's Last dance"
There was a video D'Angelo did (omg I can't even remember the song ) for a simple song showcasing his exquisite voice and it was nothing but him there and naked and glistening and beautiful.
BEE GIRL!!!!! Blind Melon's "No Rain" a more lovable video vixen has yet to be.
The absolute sheer raw sexuality in Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game"
I love tons more but those are some of my fave.

One of my faves is still "Thriller", mainly because of all the hype that went along with the premier. I was pretty young and my grandmother was babysitting. She let me stay up until midnight one Halloween to watch it. Sweet!
Any MJ video, back in the day, could not be topped!

When I was on Pixies lastnight, I could hear this programme too in the other room. Got me searching for a few classics on the web!

Hands down, Devo's "Whip It"
Also though, I very much still enjoy "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and yeeeees, although i'm a youngin, i know what it really means, i was well acquainted with that culture in my high school days. Although thats not my scene anymore I swear those visuals still looks totally different every time you see it.

Too easy - Duran Duran's "Girls on Film"
I was easily impressed at 14 or 15 and that film clip has stuck with me forever.

Duran Duran's best song is from the 80's, yet heck I can't think for the life of me the name of it. I know the song lyrics etc.

OMG!
Best Video for me is.....
AC/DC's THUNDERSTRUCK!!!!
It sorta reminds me of Mad Max's Thunderdome.......but I just love that song!
As to Bohemian Rhapsody dm? Everytime I hear that song I think of Wayne's World! (party time......excellent!) LOL! You remember the part in the movie when Wayne and Garth and their two friends are in the car.....riding along....singing along......OMG...roflmfao!
Other vids I like....
George Michaels - Faith (I know....I know....but I like it anyway!)
Van Halen's - Hot for Teacher
George Michaels and Elton John - Live.....(oh shit, what's the duet they do?.....damn oldtimers disease!)
Thriller - (baby sis and I had that dance number down pat way back when..lol!)
Michael Jackson - Billy Jean
ChumbaWamba (sp?) - OMG!I can't believe I included it! Tub Thumping
Pink Floyd - anything Pink Floyd
I like a lot of the newer ones......but MTV and MTV2 rarely play what I wanna see/hear!
I'll be back when the good ones come to me......*giggle*
