New Years Eve...going out or staying in?

Well the end of the year is here. So what are your plans?

I'm long over the bar sceen and don't drink anymore. But for those of you that know about Draino Radio I just talked with Draino and there is a show New Years Eve for any who might be staying home. He would'nt tell me what was up, but he did say I could mention that some suprises were in store for the night. Hmmmm makes me wonder. Of course he used his famous line on me "Ya gotta tune in to find out what happens" UGH, now I'm curious!! So that's my plans for Friday night, actually I'll be over there instead of tuning in. Oh incase ya need the link www.drainoradio.com
Dam I almost forgot, there will be a special Pixie guest on the show as well. Lizzardbits is comming for some fun on the show too. So join Lost, Draino, Lizz and myself for some good tunes and the comical banter that has been compared to 5 parts Bob & Tom, 2 parts Howard Stern and 3 part local morning show, add the fact that they can say *F**K* the FCC and you have Draino Radio.

So what is everyone else doing that night??

Happy New Years Everyone!!!!

LOL!!!! Fickle Finger of Fate (Say that five times fast)...

We are going to be out of town at relatives - not sure how that will go, not big on overnight family gatherings. We will be gone Friday, Saturday and back home on Sunday with a lot of catching up to do on Pixies!!!

Kleclere and I are planning to go during the day to see "Phantom," although we have to drive about 100 miles to do so, then maybe having a quiet evening at home on one of our few nights alone, sans little ones.

We will be over at a friend's house...5th year in a row that we celebrate with this couple....solo this year thanks to them having a new baby. It will likely be a quiet celebration.

The wife and I are just going to a friend's house. Nothing too exciting really, just quiet talk and the wife might have a drink or two.

Time was, & oh what a time it was, I'd be out on New Year's because my band always had a gig to play somewhere...now staying in seems to be the best policy, since all the amatures are out drinking & driving on that night...

It may sound stupid,but even when I drank(Recovering Alcoholic,12 1/2 yrs
sober),we never went out on New Years Eve!I used to tell my wife, that's when the amatuer drunks are on the road.Drinking & Driving, are stupid any-
way,but at least,on the other nights, the drinkers, that are used to functioning
under the influence, are usually the only ones on the road.I hope that this,
isn't taken wrong,but NY Eve,is supposed to be a good time,NOT a bad one!

We're having a private party here at my house this year, another couple and three other people are coming.

BTW, I agree with Irish, not everyone acts sensibly. We have three spare bedrooms that are available to anyone who wants to stay and we make that known anytime we serve alcohol. We cant make people stay, but we can at least give them an option.

i disagree with not being able to make people stay. i take their keys when they arrive, and if i deem them ok to drive i give them back. (i must confess though i have kept keys for other reasons!)
