Been real busy (mostly working) and the time has flown by. Soon, we will be off on vacation to the Fl. Keys. We leave Oct. 21rst...and return Oct. 28th. We planned to leave on a Thurs. because Fantasy Fest starts on the following Fri. the 22. For those who don't know...Fantasy Fest is similar to Mardi Gras and Hedonism all balled into a little more than one week.

I've taken a schedule of events from the internet...and cropped out some stuff that might not interest us...or that we won't be around for (due to the fact that we have to travel up to Key Largo and meet some old friends)...and I wanted to share with you some of the things we will make certain to attend!

I'll be on and off here (Pixies) till we leave...but just remember...you are ALWAYS in my thoughts!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (we will be partaking in...and anything else that strikes our fancy...details on return)...

FANTASY FEST (Key West) runs from October 22-31

We arrive in Miami and catch a flight to Key West on the early evening of the 21rst. We'll go to our hotel and prolly check out very local places to eat and swim.

Daily Diversions...

Xtreme Xposure...Party like Adam and Eve at the Garden of Eden (clothing optional) rooftop bar above the Bull & Whistle on Duvall St. and cavort in the raw at the Naked Lunch, just around the corner at 4 Charles St. 10am-4am
WoooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooo! We're there!

Limbo Nights...Dance on over to the corner of Front and Whitehead Sts. for three nights of island delights...featuring the reggae band Irie, direct from Montego Bay, Jamaica. Tropical beverages and genuine jamaican food...win a vacation...door prizes. "Jamaican Me Hungry" Cafe...Coco Palms.
Okie Dokie! We're there too!

Pleasurable Dreams and Sensuous Screams...Take a walk on the wild side and visit the Haunted House of Pleasure. Royal Coronation Ball ~ Meet Key West's Royal Family and vote for the king and queen of Fantasy Fest 2004...a benefit for AIDS Help, Inc....Entertainment and fanfare on the grandiose lawn at Wyndham Casa Marina Resort, 1500 Reynolds St. 6pm-10pm, $5 per vote. Multiple votes encouraged!
Worthy cause! We'll drop by and vote a few times!

The Latin Party ~ A Cayo Hueso celebration, featuring authentic Latin food, flair and fantasy. Pulsating rhythms will keep your mojo in high gear. Costumed dance contest, 10pm...cash prizes. Dance into the morning hours at the edge of Mallory Square...El Meson de Pepe's Bar and resturaunt...where the sun sets and the fun begins-preserving Key West's Cuban-Conch history since 1997.
We gotta keep our mojo geared up! We're there!

Sunday, October 24

Blame it on Robert! A night of Voodoo Vibes & Caribbean Karma
A spirited island style party at the hauntingly historic East Martello Museum, home of Key West's famous spellbound doll-Robert. Fat Tuesday's frozen drinks, full bar. Caribbean cuisine and music, costume contest, museum exhibit preview, tarot cards and palm reading. Find out why you can blame all your Fantasy Fest mischief on Robert! The fun happens inside a spooky Civil War-era fort on the Atlantic. 7:30pm-11pm
Geezzzzz...this is getting touristy (word?...is now!)! Ahhh, what the hell...we'll check it out!

There is tons more stuff to do (like...Pimp and Ho party, Monster's Ball, Nightmares in Dreamland, a poolside bash with entertainment and drag queens...etc.)...and I'll tell ya all about them when I get back...but I know Mr. Lixy is looking forward to the Beach Party on Wednesday, October 27 at the Hog's Breath Saloon on Front St. The 17th annual Fantasy Fest Beach Party...featuring the world famous Hog's Breath Homemade Bikini Contest (go to Hogs Breath Saloon click on "Hog Happenings" at top of page, and follow links to the past winners, if ya want to see it).
