so what do you do when your depressed, i listen to sad music, i don't eat anything cause i feel like shit and sometimes i get drunk but i don't have any alcohol right now so that sux

Linger online, chat....lately I've been rereading a lot of books in my collection.
Or stay up and play CivII for hours.
I recently broke the 3000 point level, finishing in the year 2019 with a full spaceship on Alpha Centauri (don't worry if you don't know what that means, Civ players do).

I generally sit around watching other people chat while I listen to depressing music designed to keep me depressed for as long as possible until it feels like it would be easier to just claw my heart out then sit there and deal with the pain lol then I take a swig of the bottle of vodka I keep next to my comp for whenever I get depressed and I let it burn down my throat and it heats up my chest and it seems to help me forget about the pain for a few seconds lmao, then I generally try to do something to cheer myself up before I get depressed again ^_^ lmao

I'd suggest some really depressing music, but it's all of what would popularly be called "classical" (though off the top of my head only one of them truly is, the other(s) are 20th century)....

Reading/adding to the DVD/CD collection both take money, and if you have none that's just cause for MORE depression.

Not sure how I'd snap THAT funk, this economy sucks.

I don't get depressed I have these lovely little white pills from the docs they keep me happy

But before that I'd try and do something that I know would cheer me up. Drinking and not eating are sure fire ways to stay depressed and that's just not good for you!

Of course we all have to remember there's a big difference between being a moody whining little shit and being properly depressed!!

When I was properly depressed, I went and sought medical attention.

When I'm just in a blue mood, I curl up on the couch with my favorite afghan, watch sappy movies, eat popcorn and feel sorry for myself. Occasionally I annoy friends with longwinded, random, weepy, seslf indulgent phone calls (which they put up with because they know they get a home cooked meal once I get my head out of my ass ;-)). If I'm still blue the next morning...I pick someone in my life, and commit a random act of kindness in their direction. Focusing on cheering someone ELSE up takes my mind off my own drama, seeing them smile tends to break me out of it. I feel proud of myself for having done good, and pride is incompatible with pity.

See, while I think everyone deserves a good 24 hour self pity party once in a while....I don't actually enjoy more than that. So I find ways to stop wallowing.

I clean! I used to bake but I found that the clean up part of baking (baking is very messy) helped more than the baked goods themselves! I cut out the middleman!

Lix I used to clean when I got depressed, but the pace was too slow, so now I clean when I get Pissed....amazing how fast you get things done .

Anyway, when I am depressed, I tend to go online, but I am no good company so that doesnt last long. I usually have a few beers to further mellow me and read a book or try to sleep to make it go away.

clinically depressed~~~u get to recognise the early signd~~~~~I ssek medical help
feeling really down~~~~~~spend time with my friends~or take some time out(but let friends know why)
had it bad last year, and am soooo greatful that I am blessed with a great family,amazing friends and the best guy on the planet (well my planet anyway!!!!!!!!)
