Good Morning My friends
Hey my little pixies Good morning all =)
Sitting here relaxing. talking to some friends over messengers listening to music.. and I came across my metallica files.. well listening to them i keep getting flashbacks to a beach trip a few years ago..
Metallica's Reload Cd was in my player.. on full repeat while i was asleep in the bed of my pop's truck for the entire ride from charlotte NC to Myrtle.. =) just found it as one of those quirky little things.. man it brings back some really good memories..
So do any of yall have any songs.. or Cd's that do this to you as well? listening to them really makes something stand out in your mind?
Feel free to post back I'd love to hear some stories

'Benny and the Jets' takes me back to the quad at college where it seemed to be playing everyday!! How did we survive that music.
Anything Janis Joplin puts me in the car, parking with a guy I dated for awhile. He had the biggest crush on her and that was all he ever listened to.
Simon n Garfunkle remind me of yet another looser boyfriend.
"Tubular Bells" - don't remember who its by - make me think of the 1st apartment hubby & I had. We had a kitten that would climb up the speakers, up the drapes and continue the whole time that played. We'd have people over & hubby would put that on so they'd see the crazy cat.

Tubular Bells was performed by Mike Oldfield. Incidently, the first few minutes of that album was used as the theme to "The Exorcist". Maybe your poor kitty was possessed. Did it ever spit green stuff at you?

LMAO!! I think it either hurt the kitty's ears or the way the music went back & forth between the speakers drove it insane.
I didn't know that it was the Exorcist theme. TY.
'Spit green stuff' no but it was a crazy cat. Instead of crying to be let in like most cats, it would climb up to the top of the screen on the sliding glass door and then hang there and howl.

Its amazing how a simple tune can bring memories rushing back, so vivid that you can almost relive them. I remember many skipped days from high school in east Orlando, kicking back on the beach at Cocoa, New Semerna, and Datona. Oh it was nice to go back.

There's still a CD I can't listen to because of a lost love in Montreal.

I could replay my whole life in my head hearing most any of the top 40 rock and roll songs starting from about age 8...we're talking 48 years worth of music.
