He was born March 26, so he's three months old now. Mrs. WI overruled me on Brinkley and chose Riley yesterday afternoon. The kids aren't crazy about it.
Maybe his resemblance to a sheep explains why I'm so damned fond of him.
Everything I've read to date indicates that collies are very easy to train so I'm gonna use the "I know how I want you to act, so I'm gonna try to teach you to act that way by rewarding you with snackies." approach. If that doesn't work...it's off to obedience school! ha ha
Life of Riley...that explains his future very accurately. The bunnies, however, are in for a rough time. lmao
Lixy brought up a good point about shortening his name though. My biggest concern was that they'd insist on something stupid, and everytime he escaped I'd be wandering the neighborhood hollering "Touche`" or "Romulus".
After seeing him attach the clean laundry basket this morning...his name might be PantyFanatic. Sorry Steph.
So...today it's Riley. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks all!

O.F.---I remember ALF! ALF stood for Alien Life Force.
W.I.Is the dog registered by pedigree name? The reason that I ask,is that I had a collie, in my youth. His registered name was:
Lassies Prince Charming. We derived the name of "Prince" for him.
His mothers name was Lassie.I had him for 13yrs.My father was a
Conn. State Cop at the time. The farmer, that owned Lassie,GAVE
Prince to him.He was the runt of the litter & wasn't expected,to
make it.He ended up,very, large & also very smart! Irish

He looks like you!
I voted for your choice knowing it was a fruitless poll. Nice try, Dad.

Long time ago you promised us a pic of you in "Personals" and now I'm even more curious! LOL! Just a nudge, hint, thrust of the elbow in the ribs!
And WI...I grew up next door (actually across the street) to a guy who had a collie named Gerry. He was the sweetest dog I've ever known...above all the dogs I've ever owned (and there were several...and they were wonderful...but not like Gerry!). He was so loyal to Tom (our neighbor), and so obedient and loving and everything you'd want a dog to be! The breed is up there on the intelligence scale...that's for sure! I don't think you'll have any trouble training him. I wish you and your family the best of luck and love with Riley!
(((((Riley)))))
Damitalltohell...I want a dog too!!!!!
Uh...sorry bout that!

My last steady, girlfriend was named Gerry(Geraldine).I wonder if
she & the dog are related? Irish
Lixy---I'm 5'6",440 lbs,have 4" biceps & a 4" penis.That close enough to a picture?
P.S.My wife told me to give her 12" & make it hurt,so I screwed her 3 times & beat the shit out of her.
