Wink

That's the nice thing about having Blond hair. The grey blends with the Blond.I
had a full beard for over 20yrs,My facial hair is darker(reddish)When I worked
at Sikorsky Aircraft, they used to call me "SkunkMan" because of the greyish streaks in my beard.I recenyly cut mine short. When it's shorter, you can notice the grey more.My father was losing his hair in High School! Irish

*faints...revives...reads entire thread...sighs the deepest sigh of relief heard round the world*

Wow! That was close!

OK...I'm ok. Um...now what are my thoughts on grey/gray...

Oh yeah...that's my thoughts. Why do some spell it "gray", and them some spell it "grey"? I'm fuckin cornfused! LOL!

Anyway...one day I found some grey and went to Mr. Lixy and said, "Should I go grey gracefully, or wait for you"? Now...try and remember he is 8 years my junior. He said to wait for him. I am still waiting!!!!!!

I've colored my hair so much, I can't be sure how much grey I have today.

This tread is so timely because I just got the sweetest PM from a member who said he remembered reading recently that I am in my late 40's, and he suspected I was 10 years younger (in my head...I'm 20 years younger...AND, Ya think he was just being nice? lmfao!)

Aqua baby? You are hot! No matter a tinge of grey or wrinkles or even if you were dependent on a walker...you are so hot I couldn't notice the age shit!

And BTW...Do you think I could make a claim on your insurance policy for the semi-heart attack I had when I read the title of this thread???????

*singing a Billy Joel ditty* "Don't go changing...to try and please me...you never let me down before"!!!!!!!!!

I have a lot of gray in my hair, and I'm NOT old at all, damn it. I've had it since I was a junior in high school or so. I keep my hair highlighted pretty heavily so no one really notices.

Ok, that my heartbeat has returned to normal and I know Aqua hasn't cut off all that long, luscious hair then I will say....the family on my mom's side all were premature gray, usually started in their late teens. My dad is Cherokee Indian and fortunately I got my hair from him ...I have very dark brunette hair and at age 44 have only had one gray..I pulled it out, put it on a piece of tape and saved it!

Well, I believe that I have a fair amount of the gray because I can see all of it! My stylist swears its not as bad as I make it out to be.. but on my dark brunette hair I don't think they look bad, I just don't like it at 30... not to mention they have been poking about since I was about 19.

I was panicking about Aqua's hair too!!!!!!!!
I have been finding random white hairs ever since I was in my teens... they don't really bother me much, my mother's side of the family has all had premature white hair, so I kind of expect it more than anything!

I plucked my first gray out about 3 months ago. Since my hair is relatively light red/brown colored, I doubt I *see* most of them.

Although, given a 2300 mile move, the tax filing I just completed, finding a new home in CA, and a wedding all within the next 6 weeks......talk to me in June. I will either be fully gray, or mostly dead.

I don't have any gray (I don't think, anyway)...my whole issue are the hairs committing suicide.
Which is why I just shave the whole thing. It's easier that way.

Wait a gaddam minit here...how did I get dragged into this "distinguished" class? All right, I concede that the white has taken over most of the facial hair, up to & including the temples, & some sprinkles farther up the scalp...but dammit, I still see mostly reddish-brown up there...& the beard never did settle on any one color till the grey took over...facial hair was always a mishmash of blonde, red, brown, peach fuzz, the odd black one(WTF did that come from?!?)...just last week my fifty-something drummer (who looks like Col. Sanders' little brother) asked me where all my grey was...oddly enough, Mrs Zoid, only 6 months my junior, has had exactly one (1) white hair, & I know she doesn't Clairol...but then I've always said she's a carrier, she just aggravated the color out of my hair...

Anyway, I have little sympathy for this "only 33" whimpering...I have a family history of turning grey and/or bald in the mid-twenties, so I was grateful to still have most of my hair intact for as long as it's lasted...

and there you have it...my hair is turning white, and PF's is turning loose...

Count me in as another panicky Pixie with the thought of Aqua shavin' it all off!

Glad to know that wasn't quite how it went.

Yeah, I'm going grey but unfortunately for me it's in a pattern that's more common on a man's noggin. Dude looks like a lady....she IS a lady!!
I'm also goin' on 50 so that'll give me grey hair too.

A man I know says he's been grey since his early 20's...but he says his hair color is "silver". I always manage to burst his bubble and call it grey. Ain't I awful?
