Having to stop into the bank to pay our property taxes and renew a license plate. Okay, expected ... but not fun.

So far ... nothing. But then, it's only a quarter to five in the morning. Strong storms later today don't sound very pleasing, though.

Not much here either.

My chocolate bar melting as I am trying to dip it peanut butter.

I took two Lindt Dark Chocolate bars (70% Cocoa), melted them in a dish floating in a bigger dish of hot water and added a half a packet of popping candy. It was still a little tart, so I sprinkled it with sea-salt. I spread it on some baking paper and put it in the Fridge. This is seriously yummo, with the popping candy giving it an aspect I have never had with chocolate before.

Our cable supplier was down again part of the night ... when I was trying to get on of course.

There isn't a lot of farming going on in this city but we have the BIGGEST assembly of high power manure spreaders I've ever heard of.

I don't know ... Illinois ... while a farming state ... probably comes close in terms of those two-legged kind of spreaders. I think they call them Pollut-icians

I'm ready for spring.

Socks, the alpha male cat who shared his house with my children for these last 18 years died this week. Never lowering his standards enough to be corrupted into eating people food, he maintained order among the four footed members of our household. He will be missed.
