Here in middle TN we got somewhere between 4-6 inches over two days. It's all gone now, and it supposed to be in the 60's F by the end of the week.

Mrs OF and I spent some time in PF territory a couple of years ago. At a meeting with his family, much ado was made over the fact that Australians (with very few exceptions) don't have basements and don't have furnaces. We don't have the cold that you have in the US and thus the need for big heat sources.
