Sharni? Is it possible for Marcia to get over the hump?

I'm wondering how IAKaraokeGirl is doing. Last we heard she was still living right outside Boston.

Have you tried putting a big sign in the yard saying,

ATTENTION MARCIA:

TOOWOOMBA ... 200km NORTH!

That should do it. I put up a sign like that and we seldom have any hurricanes

That's because, pF, you sign is extremely misleading. Toowoomba isn't 200km north of you.

She'll be a baby by the time she hits Toowoomba, a destructive and irrational baby.

Even sub-Cyclone storms can be really really bad news.

We will get quite a bit of rain apparently, and some wind to go with it, thankfully it is losing momentum.
Still I feel for the people dealing with her aftermath

Glad to hear it's winding down. Hopefully the damage and problems won't be too great and that recovery will be fairly swift.

Yeh, well, if people were fucking with you constantly over the course of centuries, wouldn't you go a little nuts?

It's snowing here, and depending on whom you listen to, the accumulation should be either 4-8", 5-9" or 6-12". That's anywhere from 10cm to 30cm in "real" measurement. Followed by sleet & freezing rain. And all the stores around here are out of rock salt. Blargh.

um, the "Illinois tornado zone" would be...Illinois. And Iowa. And Indiana. And Kansas. And...

So far, we're doing okay. That tornado that hit Illinois was about 100 miles north of us. We got some pretty heavy rain and some pretty good wind gusts (50-60 mph or so), but not much damage except for limbs down and things like that. Keeping our fingers crossed for the rest of spring.
