5. The same guy who always speaks up about hanging the flag burners is the same one who leaves his flag tattered and out in the rain and snow year round.

6. After listening to a co-worker's 30-minute rant on politics, you ask him who's running for Congress and he says he's not sure.

7. Your TV remote mute button is worn out from all the political commercials.

8. The free pens from the two candidates knocking on doors don't work when you're trying to write down an important message over the phone.

9. You find out after you've skewered an obnoxious local candidate that your neighbor is his in-law.

10. You throw out your back while trying to kick a political flyer off your front porch.
