We've dropped about a buck a gallon, but the profiteers are still profiteering.

We're around the $2.20 mark in my area of TN. Some places are lower, and others a little higher.

Lowest I've seen around here is $2.34 to $2.35 ... that's in some neighboring towns. In our town, it's at $2.49 ... falling but not as fast as other towns.

By leaving many more dollars in the gas buyers' collective pockets, this price reduction could give a significant boost to the economy. Let's hope it plays out that way.

It will give a significant boost, the question is will it be wise spending or not? Such as buying a vehicle that gets better gas mileage and in better condition than your current one, but still keeping it well within you financial means as opposed to buying a $50,000.00 Escalade on $20,000 a year salary.

The international oil price has halved (almost) and the fuel prices should have dropped also. It's not a linear correlation because of taxes and production/distribution variables, but if it means that people have real money in their pockets, it's good.
