Because of the lovely freezing rain/sleet/snow we received today, work for me has been cancelled. After sliding around where the grass used to be (I think it's under the ice) I can see why.

LS, just be careful. Been worried for all of the folks that have been plagued by severe weather. Even here, where it hasn't been nearly so bad, I know of several people that have taken spills ... some with some nasty ol' cuts, scrapes and bruises.  |

I'm originally from CT. Walking on ice is an art I'm quite familiar with. Unfortunately, I moved south long before I learned how to drive. Handling that I'd rather not attempt. I may be crazy when it comes to some things, but I'm not stupid.

I'm with you for the most part LS. although I will state this: if you're facing ice (or worse, snow on top of ice), you're better off not trying to drive. A lot of people learned to drive on snow. Ain't nobody but Zamboni drivers who learned to drive on ice. and look how slow they really go.
