As for whether Pixies was friendlier three years ago.....well, I was here three years ago too, and I don't think it's changed. Having a difference of opinion, being honest, and communicating the other side of an argument about something is not unfriendliness. Pixies is every bit as friendly as it was three or four years ago, but we have matured enough to feel free to voice differing opinions.

Some friends have come close to blows over differences in belief, but in the end tolerance rears her pretty head and it's off to the next thread.

I think you may have misunderstood what agaethwe meant regarding erotica and flirtation. I don't think he was arguing against them per se, just pointing out his own view/preferences. And I can see how real pictures and real stories would be more exciting than generic porn - and it is just a preference, not a judgement on anyone.
