Nice to see you Sugarsprinkles!!
Can't say as I know who Geeful and the Gonk are though.
Maybe it's time for me to Google eh? Think I'll get arrested for googling the word "gonk"??

Now, I'm gonna show my age here.........my favorite PUPPET has got to be, without a doubt.....HOWDY DOODY!!.........followed closely by Kukla and Ollie of Kukla, Fran and Ollie fame. I know PF and DB will remember them......not sure about anyone else right now.

Ok, just enough younger to have missed out on Howdy Doody, but Kukla Fran & Ollie were VERY important in warping my young mind...

Know exactly who ya mean...I think they were supposed to be aliens encountering Earth technologies for the first time...but it still amazes me how funny it is to just watch & listen to them going "yupyupyupyupyup..."

I can't STAND Elmo.....sorry.
My favorites were
Swedish Chef
Animal
and Beaker always gave me a laugh.
I'm forced to admit that I was given the nickname Scooter back in HS so I feel I must also mention him.(that was part of another thread I posted not too long ago.)

I shouldn't be surprised........after all you're still my "little brother", and therefore should have been warped by at least some of the same programs.

Ok, the Geeful and the Gonk were on Sesame Street. One couldn't reach the fruit hanging on the tree....can't recall what the other one couldn't do. The lesson taught was about co-operation. Tag line of the skit was "Let's call this 'CO-OPERATION' " and the other one would say "No, Let's call it 'SHIRLEY'!" Does that ring a bell?
Nice to see you too, sweetie! How ya been??

Hey..back the F___ off.
I never said anything about Elmo being "bad"...I just said I personally, speaking for ONLY myself......don't care for him.
Hell..I EVEN apologized because I know that he's one of Henson and Co's most popular puppets.
Maybe YOU should be the one who "grows up"...if my comment upsets you THAT much.

My favorite is probably Floyd. Or Zoot.
I also dig the yupyup guys. It's not uncommon at all to hear me when I'm walking around saying, 'yupyupyupyupyupyupyupyupyup, uh-huh uh-huh, yupyupyupyupyupyupyup...'
And I haven't watched Muppet Show or Sesame Street in years.

I know what you mean, Aqua. I haven't watched it in years either, but some of the tag lines stick in the mind forever. I started watching it when I was expecting my first son, and didn't stop watching on a regular basis till #3 started school. That would be from about '73 to '84 or so. It really does 'infect' the mind. Much like Mel Brooks, Allan Sherman, etc.
