Hey Americna football fans, what do you think about??

The suspensions of Adam "pacman" Jones for an entire season and Chris Henry (8 games, or 1/2 of a season) for repeated violations of the NFL's new "personal conduct policy".

Comissioner Roger Goodell suspended the NFL's two poster boys for bad conduct as between them they have been arrested or questioned by police about their roles in 14 incidents since 2005.

In the future players do not have to be charged, or arrested to be suspended by the league, thus "innocent till proven guilty" no longer stands in the NFL.

What do you think, is this fair? Will it hold up? Or will civil rights activists and/or lawyers be able to render the comissioner's ruling unfair?

It's sports entertainment. The "Powers that be," run the show until sales revenues tank. The players have testosterone running rampant until they get to the needle. Then it's bye-bye testes and fly fast and hard performance enhancers. ..until they get caught.

Suspensions were long overdue.

Pacman has been in trouble with the law since he came into the league. He just doesn't get it. Maybe now he will.

Chris Henry has been a behavioral problem since his days at West Virginia. He's another one who just doesn't get it.

Maybe they now will get IT, but for the next year for Pacman, and 6 months for Henry, they won't be getting more of this: $$$.

Here in TitanTown, Pacman has not been far from the front page since the shooting incident in Vegas last year...the consensus I hear is that it's way overdue for him to face the music...whether he is, as his family & defenders say, a good boy choosing the wrong friends, or just another thug with too much money & too little brain, it's time...& I don't think that he's being denied any due process here, the NFL is a private business that has to reign in the wild boys from time to time, & when someone gets into as much shit as Pacman does, it can't ALWAYS be someone else's fault...

I think that since Drew Bledsoe just retired that Jones and Henry should call him up and see if he wants to throw some passes for them so they can keep in shape while they are sitting out their suspensions.

I heard that Jones wants to go back to West Virginia to work more on his degree. Sounds like a nice idea but I wonder if he'd be able to stay out of trouble in that environment. He wasn't so successful at it in his first go round there.
