True: "settled" here means the weather is very much not so. After the end of the week with the temperatures in the low 90s F, yesterday's high temperature was 68F.

T ... with some emphasis on not too much of it. We've had some pretty good rains recently and expecting more this week. Famers now want to get into the fields and get their planting done (many fields are already planted).
