I used to have the same reservations both on performing anal sex on a girl or having a girl finger me.

1) Take a shower right before sex. Pay extra special attention to the anal area to make sure it is very clean and wash your hands thouroughly whilst in the shower.

2) Use plenty of lube!

3) Wear a condom! I had a friend of mine who gave anal sex to his fiancee one time and well he got a little poo on his dick! The poor girl had to put up with years of begging before being sodomized again.

It isn't, really. Unless she hasn't been to the toilet in a while. If you're really worried, try a small enema beforehand to empty her out.

Is it worth it? It's always worth a try. Some people love it, for others it doesn't really work for them. But if you go in with an informed, open mind, ready to make the most of it, you at least won't dislike it.

anal vibe could help..i know that a well lubed finger has helped stretch me out a little bit..as well as some well placed strokes and patience to ease into the anus...believe me, it is worth the wait once she relaxes and can handle all of it (myself, i need some time to relax my muscles and to distribute the lube inside, but afterwards it feels great)
