I've flashed my lights to warn others of cops. The one thing I can honestly say about bikers, is we have a bad reputation mostly from movies. Last summer I rode my bike out to South Carolina. No problems on the way out. On the way back, my gas cap got clogged and the fuel system on bikes runs on positive air pressure. I sped right by a group of bigger bikes, before noticing the problem. The bike died on my on the highway. A few minutes later the bikes that I had passed, pulled over and asked if I was okay and what was wrong with the bike. I continued having problems and finally pulled into a Honda shop (I have a Honda and I love it) and the service mechanics got me in right away and fixed the gas cap problem. Didn't charge me anything for the fix. Finally made it to the eastern side of Knoxville Tennessee and I went down on the off ramp because a big rig had dumped a lot of it's oil on the road. One lady saw me go down and offered help, three other bikers saw the bike on the ground and me near it and came over and offered to help. I thanked all of them, assured them I was perfectly fine, they helped me stand the bike back up (my boots were covered in oil and I couldn't get a good stance to do it myself) and waited until I got the bike started before leaving. Random acts of kindness are always returned and always appreciated, though it may take awhile. I've been helped more times than I have helped and by more people than I can thank. Hopefully, I will have a chance to even the score.
