I have had in the past "old reliables" who chose to remain friends and still gave passionately. Alas that was a long time ago and now all I have is a right one and a left one and they're here all day every day but they lack so much in the ability to make small talk after.

I had one in my youth. We had gone to school together but nothing had ever happened then. About a year after we graduated, we ran into each other at the mall one night, got to talking and eventually ended up in bed. Neither of us had planned on it or expected it...it just hapened. For several years after that, anytime one of us was lonely or without an SO, we would get together for some wonderful sex. It was great because we both knew that we were both clean, safe and discreet and there were absolutly no strings attached. Our liasons ended when I got engaged and was no longer in need of my fuck buddy. It turns out that he got married shortly after I did so it would have ended anyway. I see him every now and again because he manages a store that I frequent.

About every three months, I have to travel to the Chicago area for business. The lobby receptionist in the office building I visit has become my four-a-year buddy. We've probably gotten busy twenty or more times, and I swear I don't ever recall hearing her last name! Mind-blowing sex, though. Quite the buddy.

I find the fuck buddy is good for emotional support as well as mind-blowing sex. I have two of them... The first I lost my virginity to when I was 13 (and we're still like rabbits 13 years later). The other one is a co-worker who lives in Atlanta and we get together about 4 times per year.

I'm close with both and they provide emotional support as well as ...support of a more physical kind.

I would highly recommend you find one...but seek someone who is giving, not jealous, and good in bed. It makes sense to plan for the long haul. :-)

MM - Cheer up! Look at Pixies as a great opportunity to become educated in the ways of sex so that you're ready to knock her socks off when you finally do find the right gal.

Negativity is often a self-fulfilling prophesy. Also, sex is a BIG DEAL and can be emotionally stressful. You may be better off without....
