Not every one might agree with what you have to say... but at least you do get the blood racing in some... and that is so much better than no effect at all.

I feel that,I owe some explainations.As many of you know,I am a
recovering alcoholic.The 15th of the month(Oct),was 11yrs4mo.,
dry for me.I have also never been one to run from a dissagrement
My wife & daughters,stuck with me through everything.I appreciate their support!I know that I am not mature enough,to dissacotiate(sp?)myself enough,not to take my emotions out on
them.I'm the first to admit,that I have many faults.Past things are
water under the dam.I think that I owe it to them to think,of
someone other then myself for a change.I would like to say,that I
won't let things get to me,but at my age,I know myself good
enough,to know that I will.I know that many will not understand,
but my wife & daughters all have done executive work & I have
been in some kind of trouble(fights,brawls,staying out most of the night)for most of my life.I always supported them well,but I think that it's time to quiet down. Irish

I think I can understand where you're coming from here, especially in relation to your feelings about your family (been there myself, on more than a few occasions!!).... BUT.... I haven't always neccessarily agreed with all your posts, and I don't suppose anyone has, anymore than people agree with all of mine! I've also got really riled up at some of the things other people have posted, and much, MUCH more than I ever have at any of yours. While, I guess, you react a Wee bit different to me, you DO react..... and make your feelings plain to all, which personally I think is a healthy way to be!!

I see you are gonna stay around..... and I'm glad about that; I just hope you start another thread (bolshy, controversial, ANNOYING and all!!) before too long!! Ride Free, m'man!

I think everyone wil agree that we always know where you stand, and hopefully you were always ready for a little back and forth when you post an opinion.

Knowing when to give a little more to the real-life around you is a good thing, though, and I'm sure we all support you in this.

I will be sorry. I think you bring a valued point of view here and it will be missed greatly. I wish you well if you decide you definately dont want to post anymore but i can understand if you feel that 'quieting down' will give you more time with your family.

I remember when i joined you were one of the first to welcome me and I like reading your posts and always read what you have to say, even if i didnt comment myself.

Irish,From the other side of the political track,I will miss the banter.I felt a need to challenge some of the things you wrote about,but never intended to direct anything toward you personally and I hope no offence was ever taken.I am sorry to hear that you won't be posting anymore.I hope that "anymore" is short lived.None of us ever really know who is on the other side of the screen an some of the personal probems they may have.Although,I have no idea who he is,I will leave you for now with a quote from Philo of Alexandria."Be Kind for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle."
