Oldfart,

As I recall, the company that marketed those items had difficulty developing customer loyalty.

Is it really feasible to think that the wing nuts that go out and buy these "toys", actually take the time to check and see if it's on the "worst toys list"?

*Uncle Smarty Pants* "Oh damn, it's little Billy's (7 y/o nephew) birthday party today, and I forgot to get him something. Oh....I remember the fun we had with sling shots....I'll get him one of those!"

Uncle Smarty pants forgot how, when he and his sis were young, he almost put out her eye when the rock he shot from the sling shot hit her in the temple and knocked her cold......leaving a gash that required 14 stitches!

But Luckily....... earlier that day he accidently stumbled upon a helpful site and printed out the "worst toy list"...........as he was scanning the internet doing research on DNA and it's effects on forensic science.......and he whiped the list out of his pocket and saw that......."Ut oh, this toy is not such a good idea".

I am in no way criticizing the outstanding service that m45 does......nor am I comparing that "list" to what m45 does either! But Uncle Smarty Pants might not understand the difference!

All I'm saying is..........the idiots that need this information.....are the ones that never get it! And......they are the reason that this information is even thought to be necessary!

It's a vicious circle!

P.S. Andy Rooney hasn't retired yet! *sigh*

Don't mention toys to me......

I still get into a cold sweat when I see the Easybake Oven and the "Realistic" tool sets that are so readily avaiable for uncle and auntie to buy because "they're so cute"

For "SPECIAL" friends, I like to stay with the standards.:)

Drum sets and finger paints.;) ............. (in gallon cans:D)

My son at 4 once got a gift from my brother. Huge box with the words "HA HA HA HA HA!" scribbled all over the paper. I should have immediately gotten rid of it...drums:D

Lilith,

"It" the drums, or "It" the brother?

What did you do wrong to him...that that he would give your son a drum?
