Sharni...I have a pair of zebra finches nesting now...hoping to have hatchlings soon...Smiles

Sharni 02-25-2004 04:19 AM

My finches have turned into breeding machines *LOL*

The rear one lot and and get em outta the nest...then they instantly seem to have another on the go straight away

Getting some lovely pied zebras coming through...but soon i will have to get rid of some and bring in fresh blood for breeding

Lixy I have a houseful of male lovebirds I wish I could get to you. They have all now entered into civil unions :p

Beware of little visitors.

This was mine a few days ago.

Sharni 02-25-2004 06:55 AM

Nasty things rats!!

We made our avairy vermin proof....not too mention my cats patrol and would make short work of vermin coming for a free feed

Oldfart 02-25-2004 08:10 AM

Sharni

Look at the gap in the bars.

I'd have bet a carton of $15 Merlot that nothing like a rat could have

got in there.

Silly bugger stuffed himself on corn and could not escape.

I tried everything, but it wouldn't leave the cage.

He became agitated and really upset the lovebirds, so I had

to make him an ex-rat.

Oldfart

The wire on my avairy is 1cm square mesh....if they can squeeze thier big furry ass through that them they deserve a feed *LOL*

musketeer 02-25-2004 04:55 PM

dicksbro 02-25-2004 05:18 PM

Don't know how I missed seeing this before, but the birds are precious, Sharni. And the pictures are terrific. Like others have said, thanks for sharing them.

Beautiful! Not all rats are bad though; my daughter had a runt named Tinkerbell, who would sit on her shoulder for hours and watch TV with her, chattering in her ear all the while.
