According to the report Janet often wears those. The costume was supposed to leave a lace cup in place when the leather cup was removed. I don't know that I believe the idea that it was a mistake, but if you really read the reports at least it sounds more possible. And that is Miss Jackson ..... if your nasty.

Yeah, that's what I think also--he meant to rip off one layer but the layer underneath came off also.

I think it went exactly as planned....

When Janet Jackson pops out, Janet Jackson pops out. We haven't seen her for years, and all of a sudden, more than we expect pops back out!

But may I just comment though: nice... :D

So much ado about nothing.I was working that night and didn't see it.Who is Justin Timberlake? I heard his name with Brittney Spears so that must explain a little.I also heard he sang a Bill Withers song.Hope he didn't screw it up like Michael Bolton did to When a man loves a woman. Oh well......

dogman 02-03-2004 06:40 PM

it has got to be a big publicity stunt i heard she got a new song out soon

coincidence?

musicman 02-03-2004 10:49 PM

I was watching the game at a bar and as soon as it happened, I said, "Well, there's the front page for tomorrow."

My friend yelled out immediately afterwards, "But there was no nipple!"

We don't think it's a big deal up here in Canuckland.

After all, the last line of the song is something like, "Bet you'll be naked at the end of this song."

We deeply regret the appalling incident that occurred during halftime celebrations at the Super Bowl yesterday. For 40 years and more our league has been tantalizing our fans with partial views of women's breasts. We have been committed to showing cleavage and, failing that, the outline of women's breasts on our cheerleaders, in the commercials of our sponsors, the silhouettes of our network sideline reporters and the crowd shots by our network broadcast teams - to titillate and to fill downtime. We have hoped that our viewers would discuss women's breasts and imagine women's breasts, speculate on their authenticity, ponder nipple color and size, daydream of seizing those spongy masses and twisting them this way and then that way, of burying one's face in them like a spaniel at the dinner bowl. Above all, we have hoped that our viewers will associate women's breasts with the National Football League.

But we never meant to show you the whole thing. We sincerely regret that our half-century long tease overshot its mark yesterday. We urge our viewers to forgive us, and to continue to content themselves with veils and innuendo in our future seasons.

P.S. And no p*ssy. Ever. Quite.

Sincerely,

Paul Tagliabue
NFL Commissioner

i dont see what the big deal is, it was clearly covered in soem way (the nipple anyways) and i dont see why cbs are being nazis about it when they clearly acknowledged the fact that she would do that the last day....So i hear. Big deal, its a tit, the guys at cbs keep going "this is immoral" they havent seen a pair of tits for 20 years. Losers.

punkgrrl18 02-05-2004 12:39 AM

and if the children are the ones that the parents/cbs worrie about considering the content. Grow the fuck up, its mtv, there the ones who held the halftime event, of course its gonna be just tits and ass, thats all they think women are in the first place, its a farce to call it empowerment (going off topic) Its dumb, i think they should have expected it, and its not like they showed the whole breast, big deal. You cant make children live in a non-sexual enviornment or have a "moral" attitude towards everything, of course that was going to happen. Take responsibility for it. :)

I took a walk during half time with my S/O and my sister. My 10 y.o. son who stayed at home, told me what everyone said was a pastie was a piercing, in his opinion. I'm not hot for him to get the image they were expressing. I'd like to see more respect given women.

denny 02-05-2004 12:45 AM

Oh yeah! Take a look at kinx's link and you'll see what it was in the close-up pic.

punkgrrl18 02-05-2004 12:52 AM

-tilts head and looks closely- whats this nipple you speak of its clearly covered..

ericthered 02-05-2004 06:00 AM

Don't know much about Janet - but she's got my vote. It's a very sexy piece of body jewelry, and it was shown off in good fun and naughtiness.

What does make me SICK is the reaction of all the good and great (read pompous, puritanical, hypocritical) people who seem to dominate the American media. I wish they'd GROW UP! They make themselves (and America) look stupid.
