I crunch Ice when it is in a drink that I have, but I don't get ice for that need. And I don't care what it does to my teeth, heck I chew on jawbreakers and can usually crack them after the second bite.

I've heard that crunching ice is a sign of sexual frustration.

I don't usually chew ice, but one club I go to has an ice-maker

which makes the ice like little cups.

These I will chew, but full size icecubes and my teeth, nah.

Does this mean I'm only a little frustrated?

Thatis what my roommate was telling me when i got a cup of ice after work that it is a sign of horney ness.. and then i got harassment. it was great! but that was what she had to say about it anyway!

OMG! You peeps have my mother turning over in her...um...ocean! (sorry...but we buried her in the Atlantic!)

If she ever caught me crunching ice, I would get the 5 (ok...more like 20) minute lecture on how ice crunching can make "hairline fractures" in the teeth that we may not notice for years to come...but they are there!

And...WHAT DID I TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MOM'S ADVICE AND LECTURES??? Huh? HUH?

Well, she was right (as usual....damn!)! A few years back, while munching on popcorn (it was the crunchier of the kernels...but none the less) I cracked a tooth off as if I were experiencing the result of living in a nuclear power plant! And, what do you think I did when no pain resulted from that? I crunched my ice and cracked another tooth off in the span of 10 minutes! I asked the dentist (as I sat through painful reconstruction) what could have caused such a coincidental happening in the same day. He said, "You chew ice, don't you"? I nearly fainted!

I'm not here to preach (much)...but ya'll better stop crunching before you end up looking like Cleatus, the slack jawed yokel!!!

*jumps off the frozen soap box*

Someone has to keep my dentist in her Audi TT:D

I like to crunch ice. Nothing chronic I mean I don't specifically go anywhere or do it just to do it, but if I drink a soda I have to eat the ice at the bottom. And the best place for ice to crunch right away if you don't wanna wait for that partially melted feels like a snowcone in your mouth when you crunch it stage....Go To SONIC!!!!! They have the best crunchable ice. :) and it won't really hurt your teeth either, cuz it's not too hard.

I might be the worst offender I go through a bag of ice a day. You know the kind you buy to go in a cooler. I think i might need a spanking for it.

When I was a teenager, it was always said that crunching ice was a sign of sexual frustration........

Just thought I'd drop that in to the discussion.......hehehehe.....

I don't crunch ice, but I will suck ice. I like Iced Coffee in the summer. and I will suck any ice at the bottem of the glass.

Through both pregnancies I would leave at dark (and I never drive in the dark) to drive to this one drive through that makes these little tiny round ice cubes....anyway I asked the doctor and he checked my iron which is always high. In fact I have my blood tested regularly because anemia runs in my family but I have so much iron in my blood that multivitamins with extra iron make me sick. Anyway, it is a strange but strong habit. The doctor said it has been believed to be linked to a lack of iron, but for whatever reason a lot of women crave ice whether or not their pregnant, anemic, or neither. I still do it now that I'm no longer pregnant but I don't go out of my way (too often:D ) to get the specific kind of ice.

Sometimes crunch, sometimes suck...er...ice.
