TY Lixy ...Mr. Lil has similar instructions.

Glad to see ya...I was wondering if you were AWOL!

IAKaraokeGirl 05-24-2004 07:59 AM

kleclere's been given similar instructions, although I don't suppose that would've helped had the bad, bad weather been closer to us instead of Cheyanne and Cobalt. :)

Teddy Bear 05-24-2004 01:27 PM

Glad your all ok!! Stay safe!!

Agree with those who've already posted...... ALL our Pixie people should have a way of letting everyone here at 'home' know your ok or not. When someone is missing for awhile, we do worry. :)

IAKaraokeGirl 05-24-2004 08:40 PM

Just for all you worrywarts (not like *I* ever worry), we're fine, although there's a tornado warning for the county just south of us, about 20 miles away. We're keeping a close eye out and ear open until our watch expires at 11:00 tonight. Hope everyone else is safe and sound.

Cheyanne 05-24-2004 08:57 PM

Yes....seeing all that red around your location did have us worried! Don't know about you, but we are feeling like targets.. lol!

Sounds like we are in for a respite for the next few days until later in the week :(

CGT---You're not safe,yet!Tornados are famous for striking,places
with flat land(trailer parks, etc)I found pictures, that were taken,
when I was stationed in Texas, out the windshield, going to
Oklahoma.It's noticeable,just how flat,the landscape is. Irish
P.S.The pictures were in the Red River area.I don't know if the land around you,is similar.

So where are they? You better kick-start that scanner. We want to see them. ;)

Irish 05-25-2004 08:35 PM

#2-I was in the service,from 1961-1965.The pictures,were
taken around 1961/62.
You had to be 18yrs to sign yourself into the service.I was 17,so
I had to get my parents to sign me in!I,also, had a ,juvenile arrest
record,so after I was OKd,by the Govt.,I had 4 days to enlist.(I
bet that you didn't know that it's a priviledge!Stupid youth) Irish

Funny you should say that. we had a tornado warning yesterday. LOL . BTW... I am in the Red River area. 50 miles north in the longest stretch of plain you ever seen from here to the Red River. Tornados alway touch down between here and there. I'm pretty much used to them now. I'll show you a pic of some really nasty clouds we've been getting tornados out of. You see the airplane in between the high line wires? He was hauling ass! :D

cowgirltease 05-25-2004 09:11 PM

The humidity here has been killer! It's been staying around 77%.

Lilith 05-25-2004 09:17 PM

scary clouds

gekkogecko 05-25-2004 09:29 PM

Hrm, severe thunderstorms swept through the area this evening, and flash flood warnings still in affect as I write this.
Counties to the east and southweast of us had tornado warnigns, then the squall line moved ESE, so there was a confirmed sighting of a funnel cloud to the southeast. Apparently didn't actually hit the ground, though, so no more damage than that caused by the infamous "golf-ball sized hail". Apparently, a lot of that hail, though.
Nothing but wind & rain here, though.
