Yep, and I have to record it for a couple of friends who live in another state and don't have access to it. I agree about Stargate Atlantis, it is one that shows great promise the beginning movie has several of the Stargate cast, but the premise is that they go to a world far enough away that they can't return to earth, so once they left earth, it allows them to have their own show without all the complications of having to share cast members. And Sharni, there are new faces/personalities to find attractive in Atlantis!!

ahhhh good...must have eye candy *LOL*
|
Must say i enjoyed Atlantis....can't wait for it to hit our shores
|
Yep ... we're now in the midst of season 2 I guess ... it's strange because the sci fi channel (which has taken over the production of both Stargate series) show about 12 new episodes in the summer and then 12 new episodes in the winter .. so I'm not sure if they are different seasons or just 1 season split up (probably the latter). We just had episode 5 of the winter last night. They have also added the new series (of the revamped) Battlestar Gallactica to the Friday night lineup.

Mr. Lil is driving me :spin: with the Battlestart Gallactica :dizzy:
|
*LOL*....We've just got Battlestar Galactica
Dunno about it yet....i was a BIG fan of the original...and i'm having some probs with the characters in the new one taking names from the old one.... |
Would that be the miniseries Sharni? They aired that originally in December 2003, then just started airing the series in January 2005. I didn't actually see the miniseries ... I have to agree it's taking me some time to adjust to the characters ... something to look forward to though is that Richard Hatch (the original Apollo) is in a roll (for at least one episode) as someone else. The new series seems to be a bit more serious of an undertone as well ... but I try to suspend my memories of the original series when I watch this one and it I'm enjoying it more each week.

We've had Part 1 & 2.....now i believe they are going to be shown like a series...and i bloodywell missed the first one *LOL*
|
yup, I watch SG1 and SG atlantis.. missed the episode with Claudia Black (of the late SciFi show Farscape)
the 9th season isnt completely negotiated with Richard Dean Anderson (jack O'niell) and Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter) may not be in the first part of the season a whole lot, as she has a baby due around that time of filming. Ben Browder (John Chricton on Farscape) will be joining the regular crew in season 9 though and Claudia Black is rumored to turn up on the show again, as an alien Battlestar Galactica has also been signed on for a second season. all good news to me except that Browder joining the next season means they WONT be starting up Farscape again, I was hoping the PeaceKeeper Wars mini would renew and add enough fans that it would be brought back *EDIT UPDATE - ok, i got curious and did a little research, Claudia Black WILL be in season 9, a character in a 5 episode story arch* |
Seeing how farscape was filmed here in Oz I was rather dissapointed that they didn't keep it going. The same could also be said about Babylon 5 that was back in the 90's. That was a great series. Went through 5 seasons and finished. It had Bruce Boxlietner in the lead role from season 2 onwards. I know I probably spelt his last name wrong, but we all know who he is.

I thought Farscape was coming back.....thats what i heard
|
unfortunaly, no, there are no plans in the near future to bring Farscape back, the last interview I read with Ben Browder he was asked about that and he would like it to but says it doesnt look like it anytime soon and IF anything was done it would probably only be a movie.
seeing as they unfortunatly going to i guess it will at least be good to see Ben doing Stargate, I like the show, just liked Farscape better is all |
Ooopppsss sorry read it wrong....the Peacekeeper Wars was the finale
"This special television event would not be a reality were it not for the tireless, unwavering efforts of the Farscape fans to bring the series back. Like all of us at The Jim Henson Company, they believed that the epic story we were telling was something special and deserved a proper ending. We are thrilled to respond to their dedication by creating this miniseries, thus resolving many of the unanswered questions from the final episode and giving fans their just due." ---- Brian Henson |
Hey Sharni i am finally getting around to that disk for you.
Would you like battlestar too? |
Just for info, read today that Andromeda will go for one more series, which is strange
given that all except Dylan died in the final. Sharni, is the new Galactica on the one channel we don't get here (10)? |
