no...or not that I know of.
Prior to that date 6/3/03 most people were unaware but Kim (the owner/founder/Admin) had been on an extended tour of Oz and Asia, extended being around 3 months, and was mostly out of touch. Pixies always having been a free site depended on links to help pay the bills and when Kim returned Pixies was getting expensive due to it's fast paced growth, so Kim "pimped" our site to other amateur sites and we became linked on a number of other sites. This sent a rush of traffic to the site Pixies-Place however, not necessarily into the forums (it was also during that period we changed chat room locations which was where we had been getting a large number of our new members thanks to a superb team of Ops in chat). Kim wanted to be able to see how many people were using any part of the site not just the forums.
So it was recoded to include anyone using the site (the stories and the forums) in the # and it specifies how many are members.Total users - members = users who are not members
The difference between # of members - the number of visible nicks = # of invisible members currently at the site.
6-3-03 was the first day that feature was in use. Since then we have gotten very close on several days but usually our busy days are between 130-150 users, of which usually 30-40 are members. That I know of we are only linked to a few sites now. I put pixies in my profile at every site I got to but I do not "pimp" links like Kim did since I don't own the joint.
The best way to increase traffic is by word of mouth.
LOL...once they get in the dungeon they beg to stay not to leave :p
