I seem to recall that.

So we went ahead and bombed them and killed 6 Canadians I think.
Another slick move. :bang:

"Friendly Fire" killed four and injured eight Canadians......how I detest that phrase friendly fire.

I remember the first time I heard it. A mother who had lost her son to "friendly fire" during the Viet Nam war fought long and hard to find out what really had happened to her boy.

I remember a movie was made about her fight. Carol Burnett of all people played the relentless mom.

PantyFanatic,

Yes, the overthrow of the Taleban was, if not a "slick move", at least beneficial for the general populace.

BIBI,

Yesm, and as part of NATO, several other nations have contributed peacekeeping personnel.

BIBI,

Yesm. I believe that NATO became involved after the Taleban was replaced.

jseal,

Please list the benefits. I'm genuinely interested.

BIBI,

I just spoke of my hatred for the term 'friendly fire', too.

Steph,

Given the unfortunate results which occurred the last time we discussed these issues, I hope you will understand my reluctance to again become engaged in a public debate of them. I suggest that we review them in private.
