I dont lock up as much as i should to be honest
My dog alarm usually lets me know if anyone is about.....but home invasion is getting worse and well ya just never know eh |
The answers surprise me a little. I was thinking that security without precaution was almost a lost feeling...what with all the horror stories one hears on the news reports day in and day out.
We do have the neighborhood "hooligans", but I've discovered that they are really just bored and no real sense of "belonging. I make it a point to say, "hello. how's it going?" whenever they ride/walk by my house. They'd NEVER initiate a conversation because I doubt that'd be cool to their peers, but they've never defaced my place or tried anything other than...stealing a pumpkin or two from our front porch...and once Mr. Lixy discovered that "someone" left a #2 in our outhouse potty...LMAO! We now lock the outhouse...but the main house is always open! Go figure! |
Usually our doors are unlocked. Seems like we're always coming or going and unless we're going to be out of town for some time, we leave them unlocked. Very safe community. You see ladies and guys out jogging or walking late at night and very earlly in the mornings while it's still dark. Only thing we've ever experienced was one of our kids left their bike down by the street one time (over night) and another kid took it. But that's kids ... not really a crime wave. :)
Actually, Lixy, if you want to do that big heist, just tell me. I'll help load your truck ... oh yeah ... make it a big one, I've got a lot I'm trying to get rid of. :D |
Come to my house Lixy. :) I have a lot of stuff that was suppose to go to WI in the first Pixie Box before the delays and my permit expired. It will be easy to find if you come at night. :D The glowing garage will be unlocked.
