Within 30 minutes of setting up the site I felt something crawling up my pant leg :yikes: I grabbed it and screamed for Mr. Lil to come save me.




I have no idea how the fuck that pine needle got up there :p

WHat will you do differently next time?

It went well. I was very surprised to see how cramped they put people and cabins in camping place now days. It was terribly windy and that made the cold worse and a fire difficult to control. We did not take enough charcoal to boil water the next morning so no coffee and that does not play well with me :D

We also did not buy worms early enough and they closed the store early due to it being off season.

Best part was it was a full moon and I saw a shooting star. My youngest son was a goof ball and it was nice to see him so relaxed and happy. He fished with me a lot.

Next time I would bring something thicker to sleep on. My joints were really in pain after sleeping in the tent.

((((Lil)))) I do highly recommed either a thin air matress (which is the best) or a sleeping pad to fight off both the cold and the stiff joints. Camping isn't fun without one! (I got mine at Target for about $15).

The shooting star and relaxing time with your son is really cool. I am so glad you had a good time!

I give 110% of myself to 10 Lost boys all week and have been worried that maybe my own feel lost sometimes. I hate camping but I love my family.

Don't forget the small fur and leopard costume next time. ;)

That would have prevented the pine needle incident :D
