We've traditionally used the same hairbrushes for years, but lately she seems to be getting picky about me using hers...something about my leaving too much hair in hers...
I don't recall us ever using each others' toothbrush, I wouldn't think it would be a big issue in an emergency...
Deoderant is something I have no prob sharing, since I usually shop for that anyway, & I try to pick unscented when I can (I tell her she doesn't want her deoderant to clash with her perfume that she marinates in every a.m.)
After 30+ years of sharing bodily fluids, it would seem to be a non-issue, but I guess as human beans we all like to have a few personnal areas that are sacrosanct...

I only use a comb and won't use her brush because it's full of hair
We have our own toothbrushes
We have our own deoderant.... hers too perfumy

anything is fine by me, and him

Hairbrush?

If one toothbrush survived the "oh no...everything got swept into the toilet!"...well, sharing is better than not brushing at all.

She likes the scent of my deodorant but doesn't wear it, and I don't wanna smell like baby powder & lilacs unless it's from rubbing against her. :hot:

Hairbrush: Since the hairline has decided to recede on me I just buzz my head every couple of weeks so I don't use a brush anymore but when I did use one it didn't bother me if she would use it.

Toothbrush: Can't say we never shared but it would have to be pretty much a last resort kind of thing.

Deodorant: If she wanted to she could use it but I've never had a lady that wanted to use my deodorant. It would probably have to be another of those last resort kind of things for me to use hers.

How close do I want to be? Well, I don't have a S/O right now but when I do have one I'm not too picky about personal space. I guess I don't want her in the bathroom when I'm reading the Sunday sports page but that's one of the few times I definitely want my space. Can't imagine she'd want to be there for that anyway.

Hey, what bothers me is when my SO tries to re-use my condoms!

Hairbrush: I don't have hair! :wobbly:

Toothbrush: if in need

Deodorant: if in need as well

I'd druther keep toiletries separate, but if the need arises, then...I'll adopt tabula rasa. I've been there myself, so...what's a little understanding, yey? The one thing I draw the line on is using the bathroom at the same time when doing #1 or #2 and the other is in the shower or bath...some couples can take it that far no sweat, but not me...I'm intensely solitary when it comes to that stuff. I barely can tolerate using the office stalls when other people are in there!

WTF?!?! I know recycling is in vogue, but...is that even possible in execution?

Hairbrush - He shaves his head!

Toothbrush - I don't think we've ever shared but I wouldn't care if he used mine...

Deodorant - I don't want to smell like a man and mine smells much too girly for him!

Hairbrush, sure.

Toothbrush and deodorant--we tend to keep those separate, but in a pinch (like on a trip where one of has forgotten one or the other), we have no problem sharing.

What's mine is his, and his is mine.
