The average American has 7 pounds of rotting red meat in their intestines.

Sorry...I don't know how that translates into kilos or stones! :)

Humans lose an average of 40lbs of dead skin cells in a lifetime!

uh... uh... 'racecar' spelled backwards is 'racecar'. yeah! beat that! *thrusts arms into the air in celebratory fashion*

scotzoidman 03-21-2002 12:29 AM

Rev, that's what's called a "palindrome"... and the longest palindrome (as far as I know) is, "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama"

Oldfart 03-21-2002 02:17 AM

Able was I ere I saw Elba.

2 letters shorter, but by Napoleon, also shorter.

A palindrome, to be true, should form a sentence

or so the purists say. Phrase or word will do.

Reverend Silky 03-21-2002 03:47 AM

sure, just ruin my fun.

scotzoidman 03-21-2002 07:56 AM

Hey, it all qualifies as useless knowledge, right?

Lovediva 03-21-2002 09:53 AM

Bet you didn't know that I was sitting here in a wet chair..... :(

And yes that was usless information to tell you...lmfao!:D :p

The moon is a completely silent place as noises cannot be heard, as there is no air to carry sound from one place to another. :)

scotzoidman 03-21-2002 09:58 AM

Diva, the info on your chair is not really useless... but neither was it a real newsflash to those of us that know you lol...

Lovediva 03-21-2002 10:25 AM

Is it that obvious???;) :D

legend 03-21-2002 10:55 PM

useless trivia....

if you drink too much alcohol, you'll get sick and probably won't remember what happened :D

Reverend Silky:

the strongest magic spell of "Catweazle" is:

SATOR
AREPO
TENET
OPERA
ROTAS

You can read the same words not only back and forth, also up and down!
Try to beat this...
(the words are latin, but don´t ask me the meaning)

Planes do not have sear rows numbered 13, and hotels do not have a 13th floor

PantyFanatic 03-22-2002 03:59 PM

that's 15.4 lbs of rotten meat and 88 lbs. of skin cells.... :cool:that only Americans [and the English] can equate to.:o
[and a stone probably equal an uneven number of pebbles (which NOBODY knows the density of:confused: )]

TRUE STORY-
One of my customers is a small firm of ALL Russian born fellows doing development of vacuum plasma vapor deposition (tool coatings) who are an extremely sharp bunch of guys that have a super sense of humor.
Having worked on a number of projects with them, they share some of their “inside jokes” with me. They say that after they get here, they understand how the US beat the USSR in the space race days. They are introduced to the stupid system of measurement we work with:mad: and immediately know that “every American HAS TO BE A GENIUS.”
