I have to agree with you vampeyes,OZZY in my book still kicks ass!Just the love he has for his wife and family makes him #1 in my book.I'd move in with The Ozbournes anytime lol.
As far as 80's rockers needing to hang it up...David Lee Roth is at the top of the list.I saw him on a late nite tv show recently and let me tell ya it was sad....i was embarassed for him.And back in the day he kicked major ass,and was damn hot for a blonde dude lol :)

TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN.........QUEEN :) KICKED ASS

Get your party gown
Get your pigtail down
Get your heart beatin' baby
Got my timin' right
Got my act all tight
It's gotta be tonight my little
Schoolbabe

Your momma says you don't
And your Daddy says you won't
And I'm boilin' up inside
Ain't no way I'm gonna lose out this time

Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Lock your Daddy out of doors
I don't need him nosing around
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Give me all your love tonight

You're such a dirty louse
Go get outta my house
That's all I ever get from your
Family ties, in fact I don't think I ever heard
A single little civil word
from those guys
But you know I don't give a light
I'm gonna make out all right
I've got a sweetheart hand
To put a stop to all that
Grousin' an' snipin'

Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Take your little brother swimmin'
With a brick (that's all right)
Tie your Mother down,
Tie your Mother down
Or you ain't no friend of mine

Your momma and your Daddy gonna
Plague me til I die
Why can't they understand I'm just a
Peace lovin' guy
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down. . .etc etc. . .

Ah yes the 80's when music took on a visual side with the birth of MTV - back when MTV actually played music almost all the time ....

Bruce's "I'm on Fire" and several others of his which were almost painfully sensual/sexual.

Don Henley's Boys of Summer

Tina Turner's What's Love got to do with it?

like Coach Knight .... I could list so many more .... but I'll leave some for the rest of you. :)

Reesa 09-26-2002 06:11 PM

oh, you guys! Thanks for the memories! And I still wear big hair, although the flat-haired girls sometimes "tease" me about it. And I still listen to the heavy metal rock. I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one!

roxanne916 09-26-2002 09:31 PM

Here I go again on my own
Walking down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.
But I've made up my mind
I ain't wastin' no more time.
Here I go again.............

That song is single handly responsible for not one but two very sexy encounters in/on a bf's car.....I fucking thought I was Tawny Kittane(sp?)

Wall Of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
And the touch of a world that is older
Turn the switch and check the number
Leave it on when in bed I slumber
I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the dj
Can't understand just what does he say?

I'm on a mexican radio
I'm on a mexican radio

I dial it in and tune the station
They talk about the u.s. inflation
I understand just a little
No comprende--it's a riddle

I'm on a mexican radio
I'm on a mexican radio

I wish I was in Tiajuana
Eating barbequed iguana
I'd take requests on the telephone
I'm on a wavelength far from home
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
I dial it in from south of the border
I hear the talking of the dj
Can't understand just what does he say?

Radio radio...

Now sad me can't remember if this was for sure in the 80's LOL. Maybe I shouldn't have dabbled in stuff.
-Summer :D

How about the 60s?In 1980;I was 36.My first trip to Laconia;was for the yearly motorcycle party;not music.Anything by the "Rolling
Stones"is good!People make fun of them;but they still make
millions of dollars each year! Irish

Mid 80's I was only 6, but I was the coolest darn 6 year old in school (I have an older sister!). It's so difficult to think of just one good 80's song - I love all of them, but some which are really nostalgic for me include:

'I wanna know what love is' - Foreigner

'Alone' - Heart

'The Voice' - John Farnham

'Zoom' - Fat Larry's Band (my Mum's favourite!)

'Time after Time' - Cyndi Lauper

Oh God, somebody stop me, I could go on and on and on. . .
