thank you all so much! :x:
i can't believe how much better this recovery is going. with the boy it took weeks. i could hardly move. climbing the stairs or getting into bed were out of the question for so long. this time around, i hardly felt much pain after just a few days even though the surgery took lots longer because of the tubal, the dermoid cyst (the pathology showed hair in it! eww, gag, heave :p). turned out i also had placenta previa, not just low-lying placenta. i kept telling the docs something didn't feel right this time around but never really got anywhere with it. guess i wasn't squeaky enough. then i started to loose my mucus plug and it went on for days, so i did get really squeaky about that. i kept saying it was possible that membranes had ruptered but weren't leaking because of the low-lying placenta and with strep b, i didn't want to take any chances AT ALL. doc fortunately sent me for a nonstress test and fluid level check a few days before the surgery. fluid was OK, but that's when they discovered the placenta previa. i was so glad i insisted because it meant i needed to deliver in the regular OR, instead of maternity OR, and prompted my doc to have another sugeon assist, instead of a nurse. they all took such great care of me in there because of the possible complications, and i'm positive that's why recovery is so much easier this time 'around. serendipity baby! |
(((((wyndhy)))))... so glad to hear everything went so well! All the best to you and your growing family! *huggss* to the baby!!!
Coaster hope you have gotten rid of your cold..... 70 hour weeks??!!?? STOP that right now!! You know what they say: All work and no play makes Coaster a dull boy. Go out and play once in awhile eh. ;) UpDate on teddy: My body decided to have an allergic reaction to an antibiodic i've been on twice before with no problem! *Adds it to the allergy list* So i have this really attractive but super itchy rash going on. The doc put me on steroids, good for allergic reactions.... Maybe Arnold the Governator can give me some weight lifting tips. :) lol |
Wyndhy, this seems a surprise to many - and you can include me in that! Many, many congratulations on your new arrival, glad all is well with you both.
(((wyndhy))) |

Congrats wyndhy and bigbad!!!

Word has it that TeddyBear is taking ANOTHER vacation, at least for the weekend. :rolleyes2 She just can't stay away from all those sexy interns and snuck back to the hospital, faking infection in her legs again. She expects to have exhausted all the young interns by the first of the week and will go home then.
|

LOL..... I called PF shortly after I got home today. He asked if I'd read his post yet. I said I hadn't, should I be worried?......... to which he just laughed! Ya know, I need to go to a different hospital. There weren't any young interns or male nurses worth a second look. :( Great doctors and nurses but if I'm gonna vacation with anybody I'll pick a Pixie over them any day! Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. I checked into hospital Thursday afternoon and got home Wednesday afternoon.... Way toooo long! The drive home exhusted me and I've been sleeping. Still on antibiodic for another 10 days. But I AM HOME!!!!!!! YIPPIE!! |

Thank you osuche. :)
|
The jungle drums are talking and not playing good tunes. First, DB's drum is broken and won’t have a new skin until the end of the week. He's also been distracted with the loss of a family member. :( Our prayers and thoughts are sent out for him and the family. :wish:
|
It's not fun when your drum's broken and your're left holding your sticks.
Sorry for their family loss. |
Okay to peek in here? :doorpeek:
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss DB. Many warm hugs and prayers for you. Congrats to Wyndy! A new baby! Wow! :) Glad to hear you are doing better Teddy. :) |
I'm guessing I have blended into the wallpaper?
|
Mae,
Good to have you here whenever! :) What's the latest news? |
DB gone AWOL.
Woeful news of the morning is DB's computer is hosting a blitzkrieg virus. Actually he's on furlough and not AWOL. He be dealing with the issue and hopefully back with us in a dew days. :fix:
|
^^^ Maxibummer! ^^^
There should be a special circle in Hell for people who write viruses. |
|
Finally. Back in the saddle again. Thanks PF for passing the news on to our Pixie family.
|
We're just happy to see you back home.
|
What he ^^^^^ said, as usual.
|
Wishing all our Pixie gang health, happiness, and many wonderful memories!!
Everyone stay healthy! (((Pixies))) |
Probably going to be off-line for a couple of days, the replacement part for my laptop came in yesterday, got to get this thing into the shop to have the part installed.
Y'all keep perving while I'm gone, 'Kay? |
Quickness to ya. :thumb:
We'll be talking about...I mean thinking about you. ;) |
Hope that the servicing goes well, gecko, and that you're back with us soon.
|
Pretty smooth, actually. Next week, I have Balticon to deal with, though.
|
Balticon? Wasn't that the bad guy in Harry Potter? KD :spin:
Seriously, hope it comes off better than expected, gecko! |
No, Balticon is B-more's regional s/f convention. This one is Balticon 50, so the powers what is are trying to get as many of the past GoHs as possible to show up for it. In addition, this year we have as our Guest of Honor George RR Martin; consequently, the venue has changed to a largest hotel, with several overflow hotels within walking distance.
My particular job there is to run logistics between the prep room & the con suite/green rooms. Oh, what fun. |
To be a part of the turmoil? Priceless.
