Glad this thread exists....checking up on the Midwest Pixies. Concerned after some serious tornado action in the last couple days.

Oldfart 08-25-2012 08:43 AM

We may have concerns if Isaac intensifies into a Hurricane. Lil, I've re-arranged the second bedroom for you and Taxxxman.

dicksbro 08-26-2012 04:53 AM

Let's just hope Isaac behaves itself and doesn't cause anyone any serious damage or harm. :wish:

Lilith 08-26-2012 09:46 AM

I have to drive in it tomorrow so I really need him to behave him self. BTW Isaac is the name of the first child with Autism that I ever taught/loved. So while I feel a certain affection for this storm, I need it to let me get to my friend who really needs me.

Lilith 08-26-2012 09:47 AM

Oh and OF, one day I may take you up on the guest bunk but hopefully for a grand vacation!

Oldfart 08-26-2012 05:55 PM

Anytime, Lil.

The similarities and differences will astound you.

Skinnydipping at Litchfield.

scotzoidman 09-22-2012 11:13 PM

Just for the record, Isaac was a bastard with staying power; a week later, his remains still pissed all over our PCB vacation.

ShadowDancer 10-30-2012 08:27 PM

Roll call for those that can check in...how're our Pixie's family in the North Eastern States??

Lord Snow 10-30-2012 09:07 PM

From what I understand my north eastern sides of the family are safe and sound, though some without power.

ShadowDancer 10-30-2012 09:24 PM

we have a friend in NJ we can't find so far...it's my niece's god mother and my sister in law has been unable to contact her or find anyone so far that has heard from her.

Oldfart 10-31-2012 02:03 AM

I hope all our north-easters are OK.

Lucky the storm was only a 1-2.

dicksbro 10-31-2012 02:57 AM

I also hope all that were in the path of Sandy are okay and neither they nor their loved ones were hurt. Also glad that Pixies-Place is back up and on the air.

gekkogecko 10-31-2012 04:57 AM

We only lost power here for a couple of hours; but the road I usually use to get in & out of my neighborhood was closed due to flooding for a while. Back up & running now.

-ShadowDancer- Have you considered calling the local police in her area? Or any of their neighbors?? I used to live in NJ... and most people would let their neighbors know when they were leaving town, so someone could watch the house. You can also call the Local chapter of the Red Cross - they may have a list of people they're housing during emergencies. AS a Last resort, you can call their local Police and put in a MISSING PERSONS Report. Collect as much person info on the missing person you can find from your friends and family, including names and phone numbers (if any) of any of their relatives.... so you can give them some means of locating the missing person.

Oldfart 11-11-2012 06:12 PM

ShadowDancer,

Any joy with the missing?

Nope, still nothing. My sister in law has tried and can't find anything out. So far, my niece's god mother is still MIA.

sodaklostsoul 11-13-2012 09:36 PM

Sorry to hear that SD, hope you have contact soon.

You can try the Red Cross

Oldfart 11-14-2012 02:01 AM

. . or FEMA. Aren't they supposed to keep track of notified displacements?

Oldfart 05-20-2013 06:27 PM

PantyFanatic? How are our Oklahoma Pixies?

dicksbro 05-21-2013 03:44 AM

Good question. I know we have at least one pixie that lives in Oklahoma although I'm not sure how close to where the tornado hit. :wish:

Lord Snow 05-21-2013 07:50 AM

I heard on the radio that if you text REDCROSS to 90999 and they'll bill your cell phone. You can also visit the website. Salvation Army is doing something similar. Text STORM to 80888 to donate for them. I know the Salvation Army is 10.00, and I think the Redcross is the same.

PantyFanatic 06-03-2013 11:45 PM

In light of all the recent Oklahoma news we've been waiting to hear from a few of our known Pixies. I was able to contact one of our oldest and hottest members and am happy to report the last few weeks of devastation has not hurt or taken anything from CowGirlTease.

On the contrary, she feels the news has over hyped what is disaster events but are seasonal conditions they know and live with. Some damage has hit around her but no injuries as she says "we know what to do when the clouds form up". Her feeling is the excess of this years storms has brought much needed water after six years of drought for that part of the country.

Now I'm just waiting to hear from our Jay-T who is LONG OVER DUE IN LETTING US KNOW EVERYTHING IS OK!!!

jay-t 06-15-2013 09:10 PM

We. Are ok all the family. And. Propety is ok.lighting took out. Tje puter the. Week. Befote. The stoms. Haviving to use cell phone now.xcuse the spelling a small key pad and fat ingets dont mix

jay-t 06-15-2013 09:22 PM

The torando hit m5miles. West of us , I had to pull over on the interstate. And watched it cross 3/4 of a mile ahead of me . Aftrer it crossed it more than doubnled in size, then it. Hit Moore where most of the damage was. Was something to see a perfect funnel form then dpuble in size.

dicksbro 06-16-2013 01:47 AM

Just glad you're safe jay-t ... take care!

Oldfart 06-16-2013 05:23 AM

Moore may have to change it's name.

Oldfart 09-14-2013 03:14 AM

How are our Colorado members?

Any news?

dicksbro 09-14-2013 06:31 AM

Haven't heard any. In fact, we haven't been seeing much of PF for a while. Hopefully he's okay.

Oldfart 09-15-2013 04:59 AM

That's Cleveland, not Colorado.

dicksbro 09-15-2013 05:06 AM

Do you think the lake is overflowing in Cleveland? :yikes:

Oldfart 09-15-2013 08:29 AM

Maybe. Is Cleveland the new surfing capital of the contiguous 48?

gekkogecko 10-22-2014 11:57 AM

Shit! Any Pixies impacted by:

BIBI 10-22-2014 06:11 PM

Anyone from Canada is affected by this because it can happen anywhere here and there and everywhere....

The young army officer murdered is Corporal Nathan Cirillo and is from my home base Hamilton.

And how surprised are we the shooter who they have captured is a recently converted muslim.....we are not.

I meant killed

dicksbro 10-22-2014 11:48 PM

Terrible the number of people killed in the name of religion ...

... especially troubling is when the killer somehow thinks it's a way to get to heaven.

BIBI 10-23-2014 05:10 AM

So true DB.....they think they get 72 virgins upon arriving in heaven, when I have heard that they get only one, who happens to be 72 years old.

From what I heard, that was a spelling mistake. Not "Virgins" but "Virginians" ..... :-)
